That. Sooo that.

It killed a lot of the suspense with Jack and made the ending much less emotional.

Didn't we know this about the movie for ages?

I missed the official announcement in fear of spoilers but just assumed a movie would follow it up. Of course, maybe it was wishful thinking on my part...

The movie they were initially talking about years ago ended up being Redemption. They shouldn't have announced another actual film during this season, or at least they should have lied and said they changed their minds. Just imagine the anticipation if people went into this episode completely unaware of any future possibilities for Bauer.

1. They need to make the image on the first post a poster. I unfortunately wouldn't have room to put up 8 posters.

2. I thought the finale was awesome, I am definitely satisfied although sad to see it go. 24 is right up there as my favourite show of all-time, it's had some rocky periods but overall I think the highers more then outweigh the lows.

That was a great finale. Loved every minute of it.

Although i wish Jack had hired Mandy as a backup assassin. That would've been a great throwback and shout out to the fans!

Thought it was pretty good. Didn't really blow my mind or anything. Kinda felt like the normal season finales with Jack on the run and such. Eh well, bring on the movie(s)!

Still don't get why she didn't pardon him, I know the Russians would still be after him, but it doesn't make any sense.

I like how Logan still isn't dead

I'm in the same boat. The scene with Chloe was the only part that felt 'series finale' to me. Not to say I didn't like it, but it still felt more like a series finale slightly retrofitted to be a series finale than a true series finale.

Despite how improbable/insane/unnecessary/illogical this would be, I would have totally geeked out if Tony appeared and saved Jack in the end from execution. I just got this feeling that somebody of importance would save Jack at the end to make a truly memorable finale. It wasn't so, but I still enjoyed the episode. Nothing mind-blowing, but a solid ending.

I loved every minute of it. Conspiracy theories of the movie being bullshit to throw us off sure helped. Had the entire season been like the final 12 hours, I have no doubt there would have been a season 9.

My only gripe was that Madsen essentially cameod in this episode.

Jack Lives! And I think Vic only has another year or so of desk duty

We need a gif of Jack sliding into view in the back seat. Of course Logan lives. That stab to the throat in season 6 didnt do the job either.

But in all of 24's highs and lows, its still one of my favorite shows ever, and there will be a void with it gone. I also appreciated Kiefer's goodbye in the beginning. I hope they can spin this off into a successfull film franchise, and Kiefer can continue pushing forward in his career, in and out of 24

Thanks to everyone who made the show possible!

Re: Twenty Four (24) -- 2 Hour Series Finale -- "2:00pm to 4:00pm" -- 05/24/10

Wow! That ending was incredibly emotional. Chloe really made that scene awesome.

(I steer clear of as many spoilers as possible, so even though I knew that there was talk of a movie, I held onto hope it could be a swerve and had no other clues, so it worked for me.)

As I said last week, a happy ending just wasn't in the cards for Jack. Not only does he not get to spend time with his daughter and granddaughter, he's got to make sure they're protected as well. I wonder if after the movie(s), Jack will finally get the happy ending.

Yeah that was a great finale. Loved Jack biting that asshole Pillar in the ear.

Jack's the only man who can get stabbed & shot, then just 'walk it off'. Somewhere, his old high school gym coach is proud.

Can't believe Jack Tyson'd Pillar's ear, either. But I was underwhelmed for the mid-hour, but the opening half-hour, and the last half-hour were solid.

He wasn't just "walking it off" he was "running it off."
