Poor Stephen Root. Hopefully one day they're able to find your rotting corpse!

The best was the one season (not sure which) where he was around the corner listening to a conversation, then slowly stuck his head around the corner after they left, with one of those said quinty facial expressions.

I know EXACTLY what you're talking about. I can't remember the season or the exact circumstances, but yeah he was just peering around the corner in all his squinty eyed glory. It was awesome.

Ah yes, one of the stupidest 24 moments ever - especially considering in that same episode a few minutes later, the suitcase nuke incident made the viewer completely forget about Curtis' death.

Let's be fair here, Curtis wasn't exactly a great character to begin with. His death didn't really have a lasting impact on me. The fact that he was completely devoid of personality was probably the reason.

My point exactly. Yet people are somehow shitting bricks over Jack ending him. Yeah, at the time it seemed cruel, but the dude wasn't Tony (at the time).

Curtis was bland, but the whole situation with him wanting revenge on some terrorist now getting immunity and having Jack kill him was retarded. Jack would totally have shot him in the shoulder or something, no reason for the kill.

Curtis was on the show 2 1/4 seasons and even though I liked the guy and wish he could have stayed on, they really gave him no personality other than a feable back story with Aisha Tyler's character in season 5, who was supposedly his ex girlfriend. He did have a few badass moments from what I recall.

I just got the new Entertainment Weekly and they have a list of the 100 greatest characters of the last 20 years in TV and Film and Jack Bauer is #44. Harold and Kumar, Ron Burgundy, Stephen Colbert & Roseanne are just a few of the people above Jack. Crap list.

/\ Yeah, the inclusion of Harold & Kumar is a head-scratcher.

That was the season where Logan as VP called in Palmer to help out with the crisis. He heard the conversation where they were turning Jack over to the Chinese.

Well, I stopped watching this live years ago, but this forum was where I spent many an episode posting things like "OMG!" or "WTF" with every hackneyed plot twist, so I figured this was the place to say good-bye to this ridiculous, but entertaining show. I wish this franchise hadn't been so successful that it is going to spawn a movie, because I always thought that the appropriate way to end the series was with Jack dying, so that is a little disappointing. Oh well. There were times when this was a really great show, but I'm glad it's finally over!

I don't understand why it matters that it's "finally over" to someone who A) doesn't watch it and B) doesn't seem like much of a fan in the first place.

It's as if the show still being on the air was offensive to you in some way.

Re: Twenty Four (24) -- 2 Hour Series Finale -- "2:00pm to 4:00pm" -- 05/24/10

Oh, I've seen every episode of 24, I just wasn't sitting there watching it on Monday nights at 9. As much as I tried to quit, I just couldn't stay away. I even gave up on it at the beginning of this season because I couldn't take it anymore, but then...I started hearing rumblings of Evil Katee Sackhoff and the return of Logan, and I had to catch up.

I wouldn't consider myself a "fan" or a hater....just a viewer who couldn't stop watching despite how flawed and repetitive it got. Which is why I'm glad I can finally stop. Hey, I defended this show a lot (or at least, aspects of it) over the years, I'm entitled to make fun of it.

Ok, I will say something nice about 24: it showcased a lot of good actors that I hadn't really been exposed to before.

If the real Jack Bauer saw that list he'd kill everybody ahead of him and the moron that put the list together.

But seriously, those characters ahead of Jack Bauer is asinine.

Watched some Twin Peaks. Almost done the series on DVD, 2 eps to go and FWWM.

After that, maybe some Spooks. It's really similar to 24. Up to S6. I highly recommend it.
