CW Announces it's 2010-11 Schedule

MONDAY
8 - 90210
9 - Gossip Girl

TUESDAY
8 - One Tree Hill
9 - Life Unexpected

WEDNESDAY
8 - America's Next Top Model
9 - HELLCATS

THURSDAY
8 - The Vampire Diaries
9 - NIKITA

FRIDAY
8 - Smallville
9 - Supernatura
Interesting.

So only two new shows and nothing for midseason? WTF?
90210/GG make a better combo of 'trashy' while OTH/LUX make a great family hour.
Hellcats with either succeed or bomb (The Beautiful Life) in that slow. Really, I think people who watch ANTM and Smallville simply turn the channel once the show is over.
Supernatural on Friday makes sense. It's all about Syndication $ now and SN is making them a ton.
The problem comes with all these shows come to a close. Smallville is done after this season. As is OTH and likely SN and ANTM. They don't have much to replace them with...

Only change that affects me is 90210

Hrmm...I wonder what gender they are catering too with that lineup?

I'll miss Melrose (and its insanely hot chicks) - the best of CW soaps from last season. OTH is so very tired now. Gossip Girl was really flat last season and given other conflicts, I'm probably going to have to dump it next season. 90210 is nothing special.

I might give Hellcats a try.

Only looking forward to Nikita, and that's because of Maggie Q.

No real hope that it'll be any good, though. It is the CW, after all.

I was only watching CW for Melrose, but at least the season finale provided a little closure to the series. I really liked the Drew character and wanted to see what happened with his heart condition and Michael's botching of the heart valve.

I think they'd draw better numbers if they swapped Wednesday and Friday lineups. I wouldn't be surprised if this is the last season for GG. I know it still gets okay numbers for the CW, but I haven't heard any positive buzz about it in ages. I finished S2 last summer, but I don't think I'll bother with S3 once the dvds hit this time around.

GG aint going anywhere. CW needs to build new 'anchors' since Smallville, OTH, SN and ANTM are pretty much done. GG also makes them a ton on DVD and will hit Syndication numbers in Season 4. I watch it out of habit, but the show has gone downhill since Season Two. Maybe we'll get an O.C. Season 4-like quality. 90210 is far more down to Earth.

Put it this way - GG is likely not even halfway through it's run.

(This is all if CW doesn't fold).

Pleasantly surprised to see Life Unexpected on the schedule. I like it more because it reminds of the kinds of shows the WB used to air, but it's pretty good.

So with One Tree Hill and Life UneXpected back to back does this mean they both got full season order?

Very glad to see LUX back on the CW. I'd be okay with a 2-hour wrap-up movie for OTH, though.

Interesting that they went with a high school/college age block of shows on Mondays.

Looks like there is two of us. I just don't see how anyone cannot be moved by a good family drama. It wasn't perfect, but I honestly like it better than Parenthood. It reminds me a lot of the Berlanti dramas Everwood and Jack & Bobby.

Glad to see LUX renewed.

I have already decided I won't be back for Gossip Girl next season. This season had been a chore to get through.

I'll check out Hellcats and Nikita but have low hopes.

Looking forward to Nikita.

If any of you aren't familiar with Maggie Q, you need to rent Mission Impossible 3, Live Free or Die Hard or better yet, Naked Weapon from her days in Hong Kong. IMO, probably one of the hottest Asian-American actors right now. I think she will kick ass as Nikita...although I did like Peta Wilson back in the late 90's. It's nice to see an Asian-American actor in a lead role.

I just can't imagine the network lasting much longer after the WB holdovers are gone.

I might give Nikita a try.

I'd like to see GG get good again, but I don't feel optimistic. I might give it another shot since my Mondays are pretty open.

They're stupid for dumping Melrose. That was the only draw the network had for males in the 18-35 demo.

Smallville and Supernatural weren't?
