FOX must be really high on The Good Guys to order more episodes and extend it into the Fall.

I like Jon Voight and all, but you can't call it Lonestar without

i'll watch Ride-Along solely because Shawn Ryan created it. Dude gets more than enough props for doing brilliant things with The Shield and The Unit was pretty dang good in it's own right.

Re: Fox Fall Schedule Announced

Wow, the new FOX shows mostly look like crap. Running Wilde could be interesting since it has Arnett and the minds of Arrested Development behind it. Maybe Ride-Along looks like it could be solid.

Human Target on Fridays is not the best news, but at least they aren't putting 'Til Death and Brothers as a lead-in for it like they straddled Dollhouse with. A 1-2 punch of Human Target and The Good Guys sounds like a pretty good night of programming. Unlike last year, I don't think they're sending these shows out there just to kill them off.

I'm surprised Lie To Me is on the Fall schedule. We're going to get a lot of that show in the next 6 months.

Yeah, I don't think I have ever seen a summer show that has yet to premiere be announced for a fall slot.

It seems rather optimistic for Fox, who usually like to cancel shows rather quickly. What if no one watches this summer?

Re: Fox Fall Schedule Announced

And what is up with Hell's Kitchen being on the Fall schedule. The new season premieres in June and by my calculations, it should be completed by mid-August at the latest. Unless, they are planning to run another season in the Fall.

Re: Fox Fall Schedule Announced

Human Target on Fridays doesn't look good. Glad to see it back anyways.

I'll check out Ride-Along and Terra Nova from the new shows. Nothing else really looks intriguing.

Based on those pics, Running Wilde and Terra Nova at least intrigue me...

I hope they have plans to wrap-up Human Target's stories, as Friday night is a death nail. Of course the X-Files flourished there for three years, so you never know.

Re: Fox Fall Schedule Announced

If Human Target is only getting a 13 episode season, why do they have it on the fall and midseason schedule both?

If it does well and gets a back 9, then that's where it would stay midseason.

I hope the actual show for Running Wilde is more impressive than that trailer. That trailer was cut like a cheesy romantic comedy.

Re: Fox Fall Schedule Announced

The combo of Hurwitz, Arnett and Peter Serafinowicz is enough for me to check out a couple of episodes of Running Wilde.

No interest in Raising Hope, but Martha Plimpton is playing a grandma?!? (Crap I'm getting old.)

she was on fringe a couple of weeks ago and after seeing that, she looks the part.

the only problem i can see with Ride-Along, is that people might see it as another Southland. I think it'll be a far better show (just based on Shawn Ryan's track record), though. And I do like Southland alot.

Re: Fox Fall Schedule Announced

"Running Wilde" - can't tell much from that video, but i will definitely watch. Arnett and the minds behind Arrested Development? Sold!

"Ride-along" - Looks ok, but there are just so many damn cop shows... I doubt i actually go through with watching any of them.

"Lonestar" - i like the premise. I think i'll give it a shot.

"Mixed Signals" - got some laughs out of me in the preview. FOX has a history of canning comedies I like, though...

"Raising Hope" - another decent preview... And i did like "My Name is Earl", especially in the early run.

"Bob's Burgers" - love the guy who does the dad's voice (Benjamin - especially on Archer), but the animation looks awful and the other voices annoyed the crap out of me. So no thanks.

Re: Fox Fall Schedule Announced

^^ I agree there are way too many cop shows on TV. But, since Shawn Ryan is behind this, I think it will have a darker edge to it like The Shield even though it is for broadcast network, not cable. The thing I do like is it being shot on location in Chicago.

Re: Fox Fall Schedule Announced

Yeah if i do watch a new cop show, it will probably be ride-along. The rest don't have the benefit of saying Ryan is behind it.
