Truthfully, I liked the ambiguity of last season's finale. It's gone so far from the promise of S1 that it's impossible to clean up the series in 13 episodes. I'd rather they just let it be.

I have to agree. The show is so far off my radar now, that I wouldn't mind if they just dropped it altogether at this point. I really don't need any answers to anything for here on out.

That said, the completist in me would tune in for a final 13 episodes, but I have no faith in letting it lead me anywhere near a point of satisfaction.

Shows like "My name is earl" just get "cut," and this show gets a Final season to wrap things up.

As for Heroes... fuck Heroes. I hung in there, but after season 4 I finally deleted my season pass. I could give two shits about how they wrap up Mohinder, Tracy and Parkman's, et al. story. I'm basically with TallGuyMe, it would take an announcement of them killing off everyone to get me to watch.

I'd be happy if NBC just throws some money at the show so they could get back to the FX superhero like vibe and away from the "well this will be cheap to film" talk talk talk family drama the show turned into..

then again I'm not sure what they could do story wise at this point to make up for the crap they did in the last few seasons. IMO the writers killed off a lot of the audience's good will towards the show by constantly "rebooting" story lines with time travel, mind wipes and giving/taking away this or that power.

The greatest trick the devil Kring pulled was convincing the world he didn't exist season one was great.

That's the funniest thing about Heroes. You say you hope they get back to the FX superhero vibe, but that was never the show. Even in season one it was all talky-talky. The show has gotten so terrible that people falsely remember the first season as being greater than it was. It was a good season with GREAT superhero potential. They were copping out of action sequences as far back as season one.

While I agree that the show has mostly been getting progressively worse and off-track, I would certainly welcome a 13 episode series closure season. It could be wrapped by Christmas!

I probably wouldn't even watch this if it was a reboot of Season 2. Season 1's finale was disappointing, and the two seasons after that I watched were horrid. I can only imagine the abomination that Season 4 was, and pity those of you that chose to endure such pain.

I still have 5 episodes unwatched from season 4. I already deleted them from my Tivo, but I can watch them off Netflix streaming. So far I haven't had any immediate desire to finish it.

But, because I like to punish myself and I heard that season 4 doesn't really have any closure, I will probably watch a final season.

Haven't they all been killed at least once already? Though most come back to life quickly, often before the end of the very same episode.

Thirteen is plenty of episodes for all of the characters to die twice, maybe three more times each.
