I'm fine with Tom Everett Scott possibly not returning, but if he were to be even a semi-recurring character, that would be cool too. It's just too bad we may not be seeing too much of Sal next season, though.

i was kinda hoping Chickie would stay on, especially given what happened in the season 2 finale. Although she always has been a guest star in the sense that i don't think she's been in every episode

Reminder that Southland season 3 premiers next week, Jan 4th. TNT has been promoting the heck out of this the past few weeks.

Nice interview. The chemistry with Cudlitz and McKenzie's characters was IMO always one of the strongest points of the show. I didn't really care for Shawn Hatosy's character in the 1st season, but the episode from season 2 "What makes Sammy run?" was such a strong/emotional episode, that it changed my opinion of Sammy. It looks like pretty much everyone is returning in some capacity. Although as I mentioned only King, Hatosy, McKenzie and Cudlitz will be regulars.
