I loved last week's episode mainly for the songs, but it's not just you who didn't like last week's episode. I read alot of comments from Glee fans who didn't like the episode centered around the music. They would rather have a good story with good songs that fit into it.

Isnt' the guest this week supposed to be considered a spoiler? Although once we see this person's name in the credits, we'll know

The only exception I think about guest stars is Lost since the fans want to go into every episode not knowing a damn thing. Fans of that show would go ape shit if the synopsis or guest star list wasn't spoilerized.

Solid solo by Chris Colfer.
EDIT:
Kristen Chenoweth and Matthew Morrison are magical together. That entire scene was just beautiful.

D'oh, forgot to pad even with the OP's warning. DVR cut off as Chenoweth was singing on stage in the auditorium at the end. I assume that's pretty much it, but was there anything after that?

This episode was truly one of the best of the series. So much heart and emotion, funny and dramatic, a very touching episode. The musical performances all felt so genuine and inspired. Everyone was just wonderful
Kristen Chenoweth is just the perfect guest start. She is so cute, funny, and immensely talented. Like I said before, her and Matthew Morrison make beautiful music together. That apartment duet was hauntingly beautiful. When she said "I haven't had a drink in 45 minutes," I lost it. I can't wait to listen to her songs from tonight's episode again.
I wasn't sure about Mercedes' storyline, but they pulled it off very well. The "seeing people as food" thing was pretty goofy, but still funny. I loved how Quinn was really there for Mercedes, nice to see that from Quinn. The payoff of "Beautiful" was such an amazing and emotional moment.
I like how Merceds ended up saving Sue too. I wonder if Sue will learn anything from this?
The scene where Kurt set his dad up with Finn's mom was hilarious. "You guys both have dead spouses!" It's a shame it sort of backfired on Kurt, but his dad and Finn's mom seem like decent people that have put it all on hold for their kids, and they deserve their happiness. I thought Finn was going to say we should invite Kurt to watch with us, but I guess not. Pretty sad seeing Kurt standing outside and watching Finn have the father-son relationship he always wanted. I'm really impressed by Mike O'Malley's acting chops; whenever I see him in anything, I always get a kick out of him having hosted Global GUTS back when I was a kid.
I give the writers and producers major props for having Rachel sit this episode out. I was worried about an episode that didn't feature her on a single song, but tonight showed that they can pull it off. I'm sure having Kristen Chenoweth helped offset the lack of Rachel, but Kurt and Mercedes more than held their own.
Next week...I just don't know...

Probably my favorite GLEE episode yet. Lots of emotion, and I love Burt Bacharach.

Well, my wife and I agree that this was easily one of our least favorite episodes. Seemed quite filler-ish, would have preferred more GLEE singing. It seemed like the Matthew and Kristin show, and while both are amazing singers, I felt like I would have preferred the focus on the club and a bit more movement in the storyline.
Still love the show, but probably won't re-watch this episode on the season DVDs.

Read on EW that Naya Rivera and Heather Morris finally get the bump next year to series regulars. It's strange b/c the two of them get more consistent screen time then most of the "regulars".
I have to cut this post short b/c I'm pretty sure my cat is reading my diary.
