I thought V was only a 13 episode or so series, not an ongoing one. We are about 10 episodes in and the resistance hasn't really done anything to stop the V's.

The audience for sure, probably the humans. Unless the V turn out to have some magic weakness, we have a problem.

If they have FTL ships, I'm going to guess they have superior weapons. Anna can squirt out a lot more soldiers than Erica. And their medicine seems pretty advanced, so I doubt we have any germs that will bother them.

My bet is they do, otherwise they would have shown up and immediately taken over rather than bothering with sleeper agents. There are only 20 (?) ships, and we have not seen their defenses. My guess is they are vulnerable to atomic weapons, and probably massed conventional weapons. Our militaries are a threat to them until the main fleet arrives. If they are not, and the Vs have "magic" defenses, I blame the usual lazy Hollywood writing.

The question of what to do if the Vs turn off "blue energy" should have been on everybody's mind. That it was not is poor writing, nobody tries so hard to appear selfless without great skepticism regarding their motives, intentions, and capabilities.

Hell yeah, they need a solid hour of Anna in the red dress. Viewership would triple at least. All they have to do is run a preview saying 60 minutes of Anna wearing this dress.

Weird that they use the term '5th Column' to refer to V traitors and human resistance.

Also, wouldn't the sniper have seen Erica, Jack and the other guy walk the 5th column dude into the park? That scene didn't make a whole lot of sense to me.

I did like the Geneva stuff, although I agree that there would have to be more skepticism about the Vs being so benevolent with blue energy.

At this point, I really don't care anymore. I would rather them just hotshot some story that finds Anna facing a female 5th Column member played by Christina Hendricks, that way we could get a weird sort of Inara vs. Saffron re-match.

Good episode though. I like what they are trying to setup w/ Vandervoot's character.

I thought the beginning was laughable: "I'm going to the V ship where they're honest." That story needs to be resolved soon because to start off the show with that crap is going to turn-off people from the rest.

I thought they were trying to get to the skepticism with the "Secretary General" asking what would happen to the global economy if all energy companies went out of business instantaneously.

That bit with Laura and the kid getting jiggy on the spaceship with that music playing was cheesy beyond belief.

instead of talking the teacher through where to stand using binoculars why wasn't their guy using his own rifle at that point?

and when they showed them prepping and he worked the action on that rifle it sounded real shitty, like he had to really hit the bolt to get it to move

Still keeps me interested enough to watch, but it's not as compelling as I wish.

The writing needs to step it up a bit. The teacher getting shot was easy to see coming from the moment they met him. No shocker there.

I'm still watching this just because it's a short series and surely won't be renewed. Nowhere near the original, but my expectations we quite low. I find Anna to be entertaining, and some of the characters aren't all that bad. Jack has been decent, along with most of the resistance. But again, that kid is such an awful actor.
