Synopsis:

Spoiler:
Amber's ex-boyfriend comes to town, putting the family on high alert. Elsewhere, Zeek and Adam take a road trip; Julia and Joel fear that Sydney might have Asperger's syndrome; and Crosby wants to pitch in for Jabbar's birthday party.

Through 8 episodes, I've really enjoyed this show alot. It's stayed pretty consistent creatively. Let's hope it finishes strong.

Fantastic News!

Parenthood was renewed for a 2nd season

NBC has picked up its freshman drama "Parenthood" for a second season.

As expected, the network is renewing the Tuesday night drama, which has held up well in the competitive 10 p.m. hour.

"We are so happy to welcome back this multi-layered and compelling series about an extended American family for another season,” said NBC primetime president Angela Bromstad. "It's gratifying that 'Parenthood' continues to garner critical acclaim and is generating highly positive reaction from viewers, thanks to the fearless creativity of its producers and the extraordinary performances delivered by its ensemble cast."

With DVR data added, "Parenthood" has averaged a 3.2 rating in the adult demo and in recent weeks has surpassed CBS' "The Good Wife" among young adults. The show is from Imagine and UMS.

I has gotten a lot better since the first couple of episodes. Can't wait to see where the show goes now that they have 20+ episodes to produce without having to worry about being on the bubble.

Hulu is your friend. You can thank him later.

And Hattie... she was shown for barely 2 seconds at Jabaars party.

Good episode though. When did this show go from TV-PG to TV-14? I just noticed that on this current episode.

We like this show a lot. It kind of seemed "heavy" and a downer at first, but it's grown on us a lot.

Sadly, we gave up on "V" last night and decided to go with this. We had been recording one, but we don't really have that kind of time, so it's been tough catching up.

Glad this will be back, especially since we decided we were done with "V."

This was another really good episode.

The scene where Sarah freaked out with Amber and her boyfriend in the shower was hilarious.

I thought there was a good amount of storyline with all the characters. I liked Zeke and Adam's mini road trip, but I was disappointed that he chickened out telling Camille about his potentially risky investment.

Sarah and Camille's mother-daughter talk was nice. I was glad that they gave Bonnie Bedelia some more screentime this week.

Jabbar's birthday party was awkward, but pretty funny. Dax Shepard has once again shown how good he is on this show. The scene where he watched Jabbar being born on video and tearing up was really poignant.

Perhaps he was taking an extra long shower, or was still waiting at the baseball field?
