LOST- Final Season Spoiler Thread
I didn't want to tag this onto any of the specific episode threads (and yes I'm sorry if this too great a temptation for some :D).
I know there are a lot of people who are tired of this show (I'm not one of them) and bitch about it endlessly, or simply don't care about it's resolution. I came across this a few hours ago. It seems that the following is a pretty accurate statement, but I cannot attest to the veracity of the specific spoilers. I just glanced briefly at the first couple of massive spoilers of which this guy speaks and quickly looked away. There are NO spoilers in the following statement "Huge spoilers were posted somewhere online in the form of a JPG, purporting to be responses from multiple sources who had seen everything except the finale. I read it and remember some of the bigger spoilers. But it's been taken down EVERYWHERE and I can't track it down. I did find this, cached, on a website that had removed the original, and it has the big spoilers, but a lot of stuff I don't remember." If you respond to anything below please use the appropriate tags. So here they are...WARNING: FOLLOWING ARE POTENTIALLY ENORMOUS SPOILERS FOR LOST. Spoiler:

Re: LOST- Final Season Spoiler Thread
This will be my only post in this thread until after the finale airs. No spoilers for me, thanks!

I'm going to check this thread only to see who is going to give in and read it.

Re: LOST- Final Season Spoiler Thread
I read it. I doubt some mysterious gif appeared on the net and just disappeared. Ever heard of saving it to your hard drive? Hello porn.

Re: LOST- Final Season Spoiler Thread
Ugh. That conclusion is TRASH.
M. Night Shyamalan couldn't write a more convoluted ending. |
Re: LOST- Final Season Spoiler Thread
That can't possibly be the finale... it makes NO sense even for a .gif showing flashes of an episode. It sounds more like random stuff that could happen next week or over the course of a few weeks. If that's the ending I'm going to be sick to my stomach because it's worse than Matrix Revolutions.

Re: LOST- Final Season Spoiler Thread
I have been slamming this season pertty hard, but I still won't read it. I will be patient and be disappointed like almost everyone else.

Re: LOST- Final Season Spoiler Thread
I'm not reading it, but it'll be fun to come back and see if that theory is correct.
I remember somebody compiled a "Star Wars Episode 2 Plot" based on various rumors and spoilers on the web. While they got a lot of things right, there were also elements that were completely off as well. |
Re: LOST- Final Season Spoiler Thread
Lost was filming near my workplace yesterday, I believe they are filming the finale right now. Here's what I saw:

I think that is a fake call sheet. I can't believe they would just leave something like that lying around.

You know, that .gif seems to have some very accurate information.

We don't really know that, do we? We just saw Kate and Jack have a fight about her being out doing "something" for Sawyer.
CASSIDY: [Thumbing through the envelope of money] Sawyer. So that son of a bitch is still alive? KATE: He was when I left. CASSIDY: And he asked you to come here and give me an envelope full of money? KATE: Well, he -- he told me where to find you, and...said to take care of Clementine...his daughter? http://lostpedia.wikia.com/wiki/What...ned_transcript |
Re: LOST- Final Season Spoiler Thread
That's got to be fake. There's no way the whole show is just some aliens playing a highly advanced MMORPG. People would flip the fuck out.

Re: LOST- Final Season Spoiler Thread
It sounds like season six of “Lost” will end much as the first five seasons did – by answering old questions and leaving fans with new ones.
"'The Sopranos' ending only worked on 'The Sopranos,'" LOST co-creator-showrunner Damon Lindelof tells The Hollywood Reporter. "The series finale has to fit the show. We're trying to end lost in a way that feels 'Lost'-ian and fair and will generate a tremendous amount of theorizing. We're going to be as definitive as we can be and say this is our ending, but there's no way to end the show where the fans aren't going to say, 'What did they mean by this?' Which is why we're not going to explain it." Lindelof says new, elaborate sets were built for the series’ final scenes, and that the top-secret scenes were shot not on the final day of shooting but in the middle of the production schedule to faciliate that top secrecy. Re: LOST- Final Season Spoiler Thread
Alright, some Italian site is claiming to have actual script pages from the Finale. After reading them, my personal belief is that they are BS despite the "assurances from sources" that they are real. Maybe that's because there is the F word on every page, and network TV tends to frown on that sort of thing. Anyway...

Re: LOST- Final Season Spoiler Thread
The swearing is used to convey to the actor how to read the line. The actor doesn't actually say the curse word. Hence the parentheses.
All the Lost scripts from season 1 and 2 I've seen have that in them. |

All of the spoilers I have read so far have been accurate, and the stuff I am hearing about the finale is ruining my enjoyment of the show's entire run. Much of the plot for season six was running in circles to waste time. |

Re: LOST- Final Season Spoiler Thread
The "Lost" series finale is turning out to be truly epic TV.
Producers for the hit ABC sci-fi drama went overboard shooting scenes for the finale, requiring them to ask for an extra half-hour of show time -- on top of their originally scheduled two-hour finale. ABC, of course, agreed. The super-sized two and a half-hour-finale will now air on May 23 from 9 to 11:30 p.m., pushing back local newscasts. Then, at 12:05 a.m., there will be a "Jimmy Kimmel Live: Aloha to Lost" special post-finale show, during which the series' alternative endings will be revealed. All of this follows the two-hour series retrospective, "Lost: The Final Journey," which begins at 7 p.m. True fans may want to block out the entire weekend for their favorite show though. The network is rerunning the two-hour pilot episode that began the time-traveling mystery May 22 at 8 p.m. This time, the debut episode will be "enhanced" with pop-ups. Series co-creator Damon Lindelof told the Hollywood Reporter that fans will still be left with unanswered questions after the finale. "We're going to be as definitive as we can be and say that this is our ending, but there's no way to end the show where the fans aren't going to say, 'What did they mean by this?' Which is why we're not going to explain it," he said. |
