Synopsis:

Spoiler:
Dean (Jensen Ackles) begins to think the only way to stop Lucifer is to say yes to Michael, but the angels decide they don't need him anymore. Dean, Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Castiel (Misha Collins) are horrified at the angels' new game plan and take on Zachariah (guest star Kurt Fuller) to prevent an all out war on Earth. Meanwhile, a familiar face returns.

This was a great episode.

I was worried for a minute that they were going to let the brother be the vessel. For me that would have been a cop out.

Dean knifing Zachariah was the best.

Now next episode looks like a filler again? I hope not.

Decent episode

Loved them finally killing Zachariah.

While it was great seeing Cas kicking angel ass and finally seeing Zachariah get stabbed, the episode seemed like filler to me because I was sure that Dean wasn't going to give in to Michael the whole time.

IDK about that. Based on his transition during the last few episodes (especially last week), I thought Dean actually might go through with it. Man that would've been interesting if they had the balls to do it. :(

Overall, I thought it was a fantastic 100th episode. I just wished that I didn't watch the recap, which always contains possible spoilers regarding character appearances.

They just need to give Misha Collins his own fucking show already.

Make it so!!!!

This was a good episode, but it didn't really feel like a 100th episode. That isn't a bad thing, just felt like the next ep in the main arc of this season, which is cool with me. I gotta say, this show used to just be a guilty pleasure, but I think Jensen Ackles is really stretching his acting chops this season. I'm not saying he's due a golden globe or anything, but he's showing a lot of range this season. I'm really enjoying it.

Next weeks episode looks like a throwaway, but then so did the valentine's day ep, and that had some lasting repercussions, so I'll wait and see.

I thought it was a great ep. Cas kicking Dean's ass was certainly a highlight. "I rebelled for this?!"

I loved that the "room" was in some abandoned warehouse. "Where did you think it was?" "I dunno, Jupiter?"

It most definitely isn't, if you read the description:

Spoiler:
Sam and Dean are kidnapped by a group of gods, including Kali, Ganesh and Bladur and held hostage in a small hotel. The gods want to use Sam and Dean as bargaining chips to stop the Apocalypse, but Gabriel shows up and warns them that if Lucifer finds them he will kill them all. Unfortunately, one of the gods turns on the rest and Lucifer appears.

Collins not having even more screen time is, much like Sam, an abomination.

Apparently it's not, but I enjoy the filler episodes. They're usually more fun and remind me of earlier seasons...

Awesome episode. I think everyone has done a badass job this season, especially Dean and Cas. I too was almost expecting Dean to say yes for a minute, until he started stalling in the "green room".

They should have let the Brother live.

We're not 100% sure he didn't survive though are we? I don't remember them finding a body, unless I missed it.

I was happy to see Zachariah "die" until a friend mentioned that this goes against what they have said on some past episode(s) that only an angel can kill an angel. I don't recall which one, but, the info is even in the wiki for Supernatural about angels.

Did not know that. Hmmm, the plot thickens...

Re: Supernatural -- 100th episode -- "Point of No Return" -- 04/15/10

It was in the episode where Castiel was investigating the angel deaths and found it was Uriel with that sword that Cas later used in the season premiere to kill a few angels. Uriel was the one to say only angels can kill other angels however, since Cas didn't know that or anyone other than Uriel has ever mentioned it I'm okay with there being a special blade to kill angels. They need weaknesses too.

Maybe because Dean is Michaels vessel he can kill. That would then mean Sam can kill also. Give 'em that angel shank and go after Lucifer.

Xander 04-22-10 09:21 AM

Re: Supernatural -- 100th episode -- "Point of No Return" -- 04/15/10

I forgot about that. Maybe they will get around that by saying since only Angels have those blades, that only those blades can kill angels. Or, only angels and angels' vessels can kill an angel. Man, I feel like I'm typing "angel" a lot. :)
