This was a great episode.
I was worried for a minute that they were going to let the brother be the vessel. For me that would have been a cop out. Dean knifing Zachariah was the best. Now next episode looks like a filler again? I hope not. |

Decent episode
Loved them finally killing Zachariah. |

While it was great seeing Cas kicking angel ass and finally seeing Zachariah get stabbed, the episode seemed like filler to me because I was sure that Dean wasn't going to give in to Michael the whole time.

Overall, I thought it was a fantastic 100th episode. I just wished that I didn't watch the recap, which always contains possible spoilers regarding character appearances. They just need to give Misha Collins his own fucking show already. Make it so!!!! |
Re: Supernatural -- 100th episode -- "Point of No Return" -- 04/15/10
This was a good episode, but it didn't really feel like a 100th episode. That isn't a bad thing, just felt like the next ep in the main arc of this season, which is cool with me. I gotta say, this show used to just be a guilty pleasure, but I think Jensen Ackles is really stretching his acting chops this season. I'm not saying he's due a golden globe or anything, but he's showing a lot of range this season. I'm really enjoying it.
Next weeks episode looks like a throwaway, but then so did the valentine's day ep, and that had some lasting repercussions, so I'll wait and see. |

I thought it was a great ep. Cas kicking Dean's ass was certainly a highlight. "I rebelled for this?!"
I loved that the "room" was in some abandoned warehouse. "Where did you think it was?" "I dunno, Jupiter?"

They could do a season of Cas searching for God next year and i would watch all 22.

Awesome episode. I think everyone has done a badass job this season, especially Dean and Cas. I too was almost expecting Dean to say yes for a minute, until he started stalling in the "green room".

They should have let the Brother live.

I was happy to see Zachariah "die" until a friend mentioned that this goes against what they have said on some past episode(s) that only an angel can kill an angel. I don't recall which one, but, the info is even in the wiki for Supernatural about angels.

Re: Supernatural -- 100th episode -- "Point of No Return" -- 04/15/10
It was in the episode where Castiel was investigating the angel deaths and found it was Uriel with that sword that Cas later used in the season premiere to kill a few angels. Uriel was the one to say only angels can kill other angels however, since Cas didn't know that or anyone other than Uriel has ever mentioned it I'm okay with there being a special blade to kill angels. They need weaknesses too.

Re: Supernatural -- 100th episode -- "Point of No Return" -- 04/15/10
Maybe because Dean is Michaels vessel he can kill. That would then mean Sam can kill also. Give 'em that angel shank and go after Lucifer.

Re: Supernatural -- 100th episode -- "Point of No Return" -- 04/15/10
I forgot about that. Maybe they will get around that by saying since only Angels have those blades, that only those blades can kill angels. Or, only angels and angels' vessels can kill an angel. Man, I feel like I'm typing "angel" a lot. :)
