Make that 3 for 3. This season is off to a great start. I wasn't too sure about the Allison Janney character at first, but so far she's been a good counterpart to Mary.

I'm mixed on this ep. The case of the week was interesting, if not exactly original. However, there is no way any defense attorney worth a lick lets him off the stand without committing perjury or telling the truth.

The relationship stuff was a bit to melodramatic for my taste, but that's the show. I had read they were reducing focus on her home life this season, but now it seems she's all alone. It will be interesting to see where they go from here.

No, a himbo is a male bimbo, like a he-bimbo.

I always thought Mary was above going out with some beefcake pretty-boy who had little substance. I always thought his character would be a better match for the sister, not Mary (and they had better chemistry than he did with Mary.)

They're really scorching the earth with Mary's home life. The sister, mother, and BF and all gone.

I liked the main story, though he must have been living under a rock before he was shot to not know who Obama is.

Janney's character seems to have been brought in just to replace Eleanor as Mary's sparring partner.

The stupidest thing about this episode was that the partner guy who married his GF should've been in WITSEC protection, too. Even though he was sleeping, he implicated the bad guy in the report. So the fact that he was out in the community freely and the main guy was in WITSEC, seems absurd.

Just watched this last night.

Sad to see Chico go, but in the grander scheme of things he and Mary never really had true sparks or chemistry. It seems to me that John McNamara is really cleaning up the mess that David Maples left behind with all these extraneous characters that have bogged the show down. It does seem like they will be keeping Jinx on periodically since she still lives in the area.

Overall, it was a good episode and a good case of the week. That agent really must have been living under a rock if he didn't know about Barack Obama even when he was a Senator in Illinois.

Loved when Janney's character yelled at Mary on the phone and said..."Bring it on Bitch!" :lol: I'm sure she will be back later in the season to spar with Mary some more.

I do have to agree with this. Who knows how many other "associates" that gun runner may have and he is also putting his family's life at risk being out and about freely.

Janney's character is brilliant, I love seeing her in there and I hope that she sticks around to give Mary grief.

I'm still pleased with the extra characters leaving, more focusing on Mary and Marshall and the Witsec cases is preferable.
