Melrose Place -- "Sepulveda" -- 04/06/10

Katie Cassidy

Synopsis:

Spoiler:
Ella schemes to save her job, and when Jonah disagrees with her tactics, she turns to David for help. Meanwhile, Lauren helps David out of a jam when he loses some of his wait staff on the day a major food critic is coming to his restaurant.

Next week is the series finale. Yes, I think this show is getting cancelled even though it has been really fun. It was good while it lasted.

I'm guessing the producers know if it is cancelled or not. I wonder how long they've known (in relation to when the episodes were still being written). Reason is that last week it seemed to start a storyline of the new doctor being an organ stealer. Why start new storylines that will never be resolved. Just focus on resolving existing ones (AKA: The missing painting story)

I'm going to miss Katie Cassidy on my TV screen each week.

The producers need to put her in a bikini an entire episode. It'd be much better than the shit they usually make her wear.

Unless they are in serious denial, I think everyone on the show knows it's toast. Darren Swimmer, one of the show's Producers, has tweeted on his Twitter page every now and then and claims they have heard nothing from the CW yet.

Nice shot to open the show with. I'm really going to miss this eye candy.

I never said it was official. But, if you have kept up with the ratings, they are abysmal, especially with all the hype and promotion it got. Barely over 1M viewers a week and it's 18-49 numbers are hash marks.

It would be a miracle if this got renewed.

Can Jonah please make up his mind?

It's painful watching him. I can't fucking stand him, and I'm still trying to figure out what these women see in this schmo.

Re: Melrose Place -- "Sepulveda" -- 04/06/10

I should've stopped watching when I heard about the low ratings, because I am hooked on this show. It's very entertaining and I liked that last night's episode held up without any of the original characters' presence. I'm not happy that it's circling the drain and I wonder why it didn't catch on? My brother and I used to watch every episode of the original and he didn't even know that a new version was launched.

I get what everyone is saying about Jonah, and adding insult to injury is the fact that they brought on an amazing character like Drew just before the end. I would've preferred Auggie stay instead of Jonah, although his [Jonah's] storyline with the filmaking adds a lot to the show.

Me too. There was nothing wrong with Auggie but Jonah is really annoying. Dahhh, what do I like this week?
Liking Drew too. He's Hot and he has a good story going.

In slight defense of his character, Riley was always the one who seemed like she didn't want much to do with him from the first episode. It's just that now we know why she didn't want to be bothered with him

I like Drew because he has a serious good guy vibe going after just a few episodes. He must be the lighter side that the creators hinted at when they announced that Auggie and Violet were leaving. The new MP started off a bit harsh in that aspect (murder, prostitution, etc.) when the original took years to build up. In the first season, the worst thing to happen (if I remember correctly) was Michael cheating on Jane.
