Synopsis:

Spoiler:
Raylan and Rachel are sent to L.A. to find a fugitive named Roland Pike (Alan Ruck), a drug-cartel accountant-turned-barrio dentist whom Raylan failed to capture once before and whose altercation with an obnoxious patient has landed him in the headlines. Unfortunately for Roland, his former drug associates are after him as well.

I think it's funny that some people here were actually complaining that this show isn't fun because it's not serialized.

Watching the 2nd run right now. Good so far. The guy who had his teeth pulled in the beginning has to be the guy who does the voice for Garrus in Mass Effect.

He can't keep shooting people every episode, right?

This show has grown on me. I think this is the most likable Timothy Olyphant has ever been. The opening had to be the most badass dentist scene I have seen.

I am really liking the writing and dialogue delivery on this show. It is not exactly set in the realm of reality, with people getting shot and delivering soliloquies, but it works as a theatrical piece for me.

Loved the hell out of this episode. Funny, violent, cool (and great dialogue) - it's what I was hoping for from this show. Olyphant is knocking it out of the park.

I hope they pair Raylan and Rachel together more in future episodes, they have a nice chemistry.

This was probably me favorite episode of the season.

Now this is what the show should be if there is no heavy arc. It was perfect. Ruck was awesome and the show just rolled. It was better than the pilot.

Fun/funny episode. Hopefully this is a sign of things to come.

Loved it as well. The dialogue is brilliant. I haven't paid attention to the credits, but is Elmore Leonard involved with the writing at all or is he just given an honorary credit for the source material?

That IMO is what is missing -- a really good arc. This was the best so far, but it also had the least of Olyphant. I guess if you are a big cowboy fan, this is great, but I tire of the "quick draw" in every eps. Still worth watching -- for now.

Great show... it'll be nice to see a story arc eventually, but this early on, the standalone episodes still give some character development and create the overall feel for the show so I don't miss it at this point.

Loved the scene in the car with the 2 hired guns and Raylen...

Love the show. Don't care if there is a story arc or not because I dig what they've done so far.

I lost it when he referred to Hermie as "the little gay dude"

I agree. The story arc definitely needs to show up (hopefully sooner rather than later), but I'm liking how they've handled themselves so far. (They definitely need to bring more Walton Goggins in and see how long it takes him to return to his old ways. Raylen needs to (will) have a run in with his father eventually. There are plenty of places for this show to go. The ex hasn't even been involved recently. So, they'll be OK, I think.)

Probably my favorite episode as far, too. (Though I liked Walton Goggins better than than Alan Ruck, the story was better and ruck did a great job with what his character was too.)

Agreed. I was in the same boat at first, but I think I'm just use to the other FX show paths. I know some stuff will crossover and there will be some character arcs, but the last 3 episodes has found me loving the hell out of the stand alone format. As long as the writing, acting, and fun stays at the current level, then I'm for whatever they want to do.

That Hermey shit this week KILLED me. rotfl

I had to cringe at the tooth pulling scene. ouch!

The two thugs going after Pike had some pretty funny dialogue and the shooting scene in the desert was great. The guy barely took a step forward and bang.
