Any idea why FOX is burning 2 hours against the NCAA Championship? Seems like most of the key demographic would be watching the game and DVRing 24.

Typically every year 24 has a midseason 2 episode event. I think scheduling-wise, it just happened to go against the NCAA National Championship.

Seriously, how'd they pull off that switch so instantaneously? Any other show I'd accept it but given the realtime nature of this show...

Loved seeing a royally pissed off Cole spring into action. Hasting should have let him at least pimp slap her and then give her one himself for good measure.

Incredible. I really thought they were going to get there in time, but Samir was not going to be stopped it seems. At least this means Dana's immunity agreement doesn't have to be honoured.
At least President Hassan went out without caving to their demands. Glad they gave him the silent clock; he deserved it.
EDIT: I really am not sure what they are going to do with the remaining episodes. We have 8 hours left, hopefully we get some information on the shadow organization.

It's nice that they sort of grounded it in reality in that Jack can't always win the battle, but that he has to keep on moving and do his best to win the war.
It's just too bad that Hassan had to die; I really liked his character and respected him for turning himself over to the terrorists. At least they honoured the deal and Hassan really did save tens of thousands of lives. And him not confessing was a victory in itself, albeit not the victory I would have hoped for. That he stood up to Samir knowing his death was imminent and wouldn't buckle after the drugs and torture speaks volumes of the character. It's just a shame Jack has to live with yet another death on his conscience.

Wow, who knew Brannon Braga was capable of writing such a good episode? Oh, and the first 'sode was pretty good, too.
