Good news. No more repeats the rest of the season. All new eps the rest of the way.

I admit to liking this show, but these magic rings all over the place are getting to be a pretty lame plot device.

I liked Alaric, so I'm glad it saved him.

Me too. As he was lying there, I was really pissed they got rid of him.
Nice ring though.

Seems like the new vampire also has a ring since he was walking around during daylight. Before they made it seem like the Salvatore's were the only ones who had them.

I've made allowances for her age (now in her mid-30s), she still looks good to me, even filling out her frame a bit isn't a bad thing. Plus, she's not being asked to play a teenager.

Well at least they explained the ring. He had it on, not being a vampire, so it has to do something. They didn't show it first just now, so I don't consider it too much of a copout. They did introduce at the same time they introduced his character.

They have them now. Remember this guy has been trapped for how long? Perhaps they were more prevalent back then.

Caught this one since I'm behind. Very strong return for the show. Funny how Damon was okay screwing over Alaric when he thought it involved a "nobody" or his brother, but he did actually seem remorseful when he found out it was Elena's mother.

I'm also very impressed how they're weaving a back story and for the bigger picture. It was also interesting how originally they used Allaric's ring as a red herring and then used it in completely opposite manner.

I was well surprised by the truck hitting that guy. Much more random than on something such as Final Destination.

How was it that the escaped vamp knew that lady in the town square? We hadn't seen her before had we? Is that to imply that others are escaping?

I think we're going to see some really messed up stuff soon. Somehow Catherine is going to tie into this big time, especially with Elana's mother and Rick's wife. Some people are going to get screwed over mentally big time.
