Just stick it out and finish it. Is it really going to kill you? I've dedicated 9 years of my life to watching Jack Bauer and company and I sure as hell won't stop at hour 13 of what could be the last season.

Silly stuff with Chloe pulling the gun and mole Dana, but halfway entertaining I suppose. They should just make everyone a mole except Jack. That would be crazy fun.

Anybody else think that Jenny from the block walks like a ...spoiler word.
That brings up another moment. Jack & Cole had, literally, a 10 minute window where they were tending to the two red shirts behind cover and the terrorists apparently decided on a temporary cease fire.

And is that a spoiler for BSG? Fuck. I was getting ready to start season 3 in the next week or so.

Re: Twenty Four (24) -- "4:00am to 5:00am" -- 03/22/10

Wow. I don't know what to say There's good, bad and ugly. Then there's the Dana twist.

Good action, love to see Jack in trouble and love to see Renee help him. It was predictable, but still I enjoyed it. I do like Cole as well. Glad to see Hastings take Cloe's side, after all as a leader he wants power as soon as possible, he took a chance.

The bad: Chloe's entire scene. Boring, repetitive. Kill the bitch off! The Chloe character is a perfect example of recycling old storylines. She's acting bitchy to Dana, is smart and finds ways to resolve issues, no one listens to her and she manages to save the day, version 6.

Dude staying after the EMT and still wants to talk to Hastings? WTF? That was just dumb. Medics releasing daughter 3 minutes after EMT blast? Come on. Chloe not getting arrested? Hell even Jack was in trouble after pulling shit like this in the past even after saving the day.

The ugly: Making Dana the mole, and having another mole. Seriously, I'm all for finding ways to make characters villains, or making them obnoxious, annoying, but like written by many, this makes no sense. Why would she not kill the rednecks if she's a terrorist? Only possible explanation is that the whole redneck thing is real, she really was stuck up and back in the past in her mind and couldn't do it, yet she's a frikkin terrorist and manages to kill the dude in cold blood. LAME! At least, this explains why she didn't have Chloe's back about getting power back.

This episode of "The Dana Walsh Show" was pretty good. My only negative comments would be the intrusive Jack Bauer shoot-out scenes. They completely ruined the flow of the show.

I must admit, I did not see the Nina Meyers Dana Walsh twist coming.

Ha ha. Good one.

What's up with Jack and Cole firing off about 5000 rounds and to the best of my knowledge MAYBE hitting one guy and Renee pops up out of nowhere and fires off a couple pinpoint shots and neutralizes everybody? You're telling me Renee with a handgun is more effective than Jack and Cole with machine guns and seemingly unlimited ammuniton?

EXACTLY. Utterly and completely ridiculous. Suddenly Jack can't hit the broad side of a barn??

The whole thing was horrific, capped off with the utterly lame "twist" at the end. When Nina was revealed it was awesome and frightening, but this just made me laugh out loud. And we've also already done the "CTU agent PRETENDING he's working with the terrorists (Gael)," but I guess they're not going that route since Dana/867-5309 strangled Milton.

What a way for a once great show to go out...

Ironically, Dave Barry did see it coming before the episode started:
Bill Prady, the world's most diligent parole officer, is hanging around asking Dana pesky questions about her ex-boyfriend Kevin. We have no idea where this subplot is going, but it refuses to go away, so we're starting to wonder if maybe Agent Walsh is a mole, seeing as how CTU is required by law to always have one on the payroll.

Shitty...

I was enjoying it with Renee coming back but fucking Milton would not leave. And then the "twist" at the end. Come the fuck on.

I enjoyed the Chloe/Hastings interactions in this episode. But then Danamole... for fuck's sake.

I chalked it up to Renee not being pinned down and could get a different angle on the bad guys, not to mention the element of surprise. Also, the automatics Jack and Cole were sporting don't seem very precise from the distance they were at. Notice, the one guy Jack did take out was done with his handgun.

Walsh as a mole makes no sense, as CTU had aboslutely no role in the terrorists original plan.

But it is amazing how quickly Plan B came together, as if Hannibal himself was involved.

Well she did pop in from behind the action and had a clear shot at the 2 terrorists wide in the open.

I could have sworn their guns had scopes on them. Either way, it was utterly ridiculous considering some of Jack's prior shooting expertise. They were shooting for almost 30 minutes, and the unlimited ammo was like something from a video game cheat.

well, i think there is something you are missing here. the original terrorist was the president's brother. he was working with the other terrorist guys, who were obviously going to double cross him regardless of the situation. so, you can't really say that this wasn't their plan all along because we didn't really know of their plan.

"The city that never sleeps."

City seems awfully tired to me. No cars on the street, no workers at the docks. Way to take NYC and make it boring.

They could all be moles, unbeknown to each other, and then we have an "aha" moment where they all realize they're working for the same evil shadowy cartel, and they drop the pretense of trying to fight it.

"Wait - you're a bad guy too? I thought I was the only bad guy here! You too? Ok, show of hands, who here is a mole?"

Hands tentatively start raising, until Chloe is surrounded by people with their hands up.

One of the moles: "Well, this is awkward...What should we do?"
Another: "get her!"

- Of course, Chloe manages to blast her way out of CTU

Sigh of relief. Thanks. That would have been a pretty major spoiler to toss out there in a random thread.

Re: Twenty Four (24) -- "4:00am to 5:00am" -- 03/22/10

I think you guys covered most of the idiocies of where we are right now with 24 but the one thing that hit me last night was this: WTF is a parole officer doing investigating a missing parolee at 4 o'clock in the morning? Interrupting the operations of a top security intelligence organization in the middle of a national emergency? I mean, sure, all parole officers are working cases at 4 AM, right? And especially in search of a two-bit low-life scumbag that no one on this planet will ever miss.

I agree with everyone -- stick a fork in it, this show is done.

Jack and Cole did have a shitty angle at the snipers.

I am surprised that CTU:NY seems to have hired really wimpy field agents like Owen and the Asian guy in last night's episode.

Again, not that big of a surprise. He was the chief security man to the foreign president. He is also part of a terrorist organization. I would expect him to know more about Jack than just about anyone else. Now if you want to bag on CTU not knowing about Jack at the beginning, have at it.

Also, I don't get the love for Chloe and the hate for Brandon's redneck sister. I find Chloe a hell of a lot more annoying than the Dana/Jenny character.
