The Simpsons -- "Stealing First Base" -- 03/21/10

"Stealing First Base"
Spoiler:
Principal Skinner announces that Mrs. Krabappel was called out of town and budget cuts dictate that, until she returns, the school's two fourth grade classes will merge. Bart reluctantly shares a desk with Nikki and develops a flirtatious rapport. Meanwhile, Lisa's classmates ostracize her for being an overachiever.

"I cheated wrong. I copied the Lisa name and the Ralph answers." Haha.

Grandpa's memory being a fuzzy TV channel was great.

Nelson and the blind kid was pretty funny too.

I liked Bart's drawing of an actual Vampire.

"I finally caught one of Bart's school plays." - Homer

"Hey Willie! Does he taste like failure?!" - Bart
"I can make these two kiss all day if I have to...just keep laughing." - Superintendent Chalmers

The Michelle Obama appearance was sort of pointless.

The montage of famous kisses was pretty cool.

---

Can someone tell me what the title of the Itchy & Scratchy movie was? I wasn't watching it on a widescreen TV and the edges were cut off.

---

While I enjoyed the episode, in an otherwise strong season this episode stands out as the weakest.

I loved this episode. One of the funniest, most charming ones in a long time.

that was my favorite part.

It seemed like a waste of Sarah Silverman.

Some laughs, one of the weaker eps of the season.

That's the case with pretty much every celebrity they have playing a female student. The voices all come across as interchangeable and unrecognizable.

Koyaanis-Scratchy: Death Out of Balance. Their whole movie was a spoof of Koyaanisqatsi, which means "life out of balance".

I didn't think so.

the funniest part was the shot of Willie stroking Skinner's arm after their kissing scene - I was on the floor in tears.

I really enjoyed this episode as well. the music was from cinema paradiso right? its been a long time since I seen that movie. Though the Michelle Obama stuff was kind of pointless.

Which character was played by Sarah Silverman, and which one was Angela Basset?
