Guess we had no thread last week? Not that I had much to say and I don't blame anyone for onot having the time or inclination. Indicative of the show's fall, tho.

I hadn't watched an entire episode for at least a year. How long has it been since the Tornado? Things sure have changed and while I still don't really like the show, I can see why it would be a good guilty pleasure for anyone. Unlike Grey's, which my wife watches, but I can't stand.

Julie Benz sure has changed a lot since Buffy. I had to look up the character's name on IMDB, because I knew that I knew her, but couldn't place her.

The show was really on a downward slope a couple months ago but it's rebounded somewhat in recent weeks.

That's some nice cleavage on the girlfriend

You know the writers are desperate for plotlines when they devote a whole episode to Susan and Gabby selling candy bars. Yawn.

John Barrowman is a nice addition, but I have a feeling he won't be around long.

If Bree gets together with Rex's son, that would be very interesting.

Best line of the night, of course from Orson:

Bree: "What would Rex say if he saw us all together like this?"
Orson: "Who's that guy in the wheelchair?"
rotfl

I'm hoping we get another Rex as Narrator episode out of this. His character was killed off way too early.

Extreme Makeover ran five minutes over, so even though I had padded three minutes I missed the end. Will have to catch it online.

I noticed that the girlfriend was cooking a pot of something on the stove. No more than a minute later the pot was cold, and she was holding it in her arms without a pot holder.

I also can't believe they devoted an entire show to selling candy bars.

The best part of that scene was Tom being impressed that Porter could score a $14/hr union job (as a gutter no less).

I believe they said she was cooking borscht, which is often served cold, so I didn't worry too much about that.

Ha, ha. I'm unemployed right now. $14/hr doesn't sound too bad to me at the moment.

Thanks for the clarification. It just seemed odd that the pot was on the stove and she was stirring it. Sam's revelation last week was one of the most shocking discoveries in recent memory on the show. That's what I miss about it.

Also, I wonder if Carlos will ever find out that Andrew killed Juanita Solis? If I'm not mistaken, that's the only secret in the history of this series that hasn't been revealed (aside from the new ones that flesh out over the span of a season).

The way season 2 resolved that story arc made me stop watching the show until season 3. To this day I have no idea what happened with that whole "dude in the basement" stuff.

Did Carlos find out? If so, I certainly missed that.

As for the basement storyline, Betty was keeping her special needs son (Caleb) in the basement because she believed that he'd murdered her other son's girlfriend. In the season finale, it was revealed that Caleb didn't kill the girlfriend, but it was Matthew who killed his own girlfriend. The swat team ended up on Wisteria Lane and Matthew was shot dead. Betty and Caleb moved away.

If nothing else good came from season two, I got a great line from it that I still use to this day. If I see a child acting up, I say to myself "She needs to pull a Betty Applewhite on that kid".

Carlos never found out. If I remember correctly, the writers just kept stringing us along while his mother was in a coma. Then she finally wakes up in the hospital and runs down the stairs - accidentally falling and killing herself!

Okay, that's what I remember happening as well. Gaby was happy that her cheating was kept a secret with Juanita's death, but she didn't even know that Andrew was responsible for running her over. It's probably too late in the series now to bring that back up.

The time to bring this up would have been when holier than thou Bree forced Orson to turn himself in for running down Mike.

First we have Captain Mel now we have Captain Jack.

I'm totally lost on who the local killer is.
