I really hope we get Michael clumsily channeling Baldwin.

Re: The Office -- "New Leads" -- 3/18/10

This was probably my least favorite episode of the Office, I have pretty much loved or liked every episode but this one. There really werent any funny moments. Story wasnt good or funny characters didnt feel right tonight and going to the landfill was just dumb. and pretty bad painting in the background at the landfill.

as much as I hate to say this since I love the office, this was the weakest episode of the series.

Andy thinking Erin hid the leads on under her clothes was pretty funny. So was Stanly in the middle of Ryan and Kelly's argument.

ill agree the landfill looked HORRIBLE (especially in HD).

ill admit the story was kinda weak this episode, but i still enjoyed it and it still made me laugh quite a bit. andy thinking erin had the leads under her clothes was priceless! and the whole "in the trash" bit w/ dwight/kevin/meredith had me

yeah I did like those moments, espically andy thinkning the leads were under her clothes, forgot about two. The landfill stuff at the end was just lame.

Stanley owned this episode. From him in the the Kelly/Ryan fight to the big smile on his face when he realized he wasn't going to have to do the 2%

I thought this episode was hilarious, but I do agree that the dump looked horrible - it was like they were standing in front of a cardboard cutout.

Funny how Office fans can never seem to agree on which episodes are good... personally I thought this was a great one. It's good to see Darryl getting more attention.

The dump definitely looked like a bad green screen.

i agree, but at the same time i think they are just getting him more screen time bc of "hot tub time machine" coming out soon. hearing him say "thats what she said" made me laugh though.

I agree. I thought this episode was pretty good, and quite funny, and I've been critical of much of this season. The plots that actually seem relevant to a real workplace always work much better IMO. I liked that this one followed through on the plot thread from the earlier episode about Sabre having a favorable sales commission program. I thought that was an interesting aspect of the merger plot, but expected it to just be forgotten after that. So it was good to see it come back as the major conflict in this episode.

I thought this was definitely one of the funnier episodes of the season, so far. So I guess diff strokes and all that...

Another great episode. I loved the scavenger hunt, Erin and Andy, Kelly and Oscar vs. Jim, hardass Phyllis, Toby's desire for Syrian food (my wife is half-Syrian so that was especially funny).

More than one laugh-out-loud moment from me.

A couple of chuckles, but weak overall.

I just assumed moving him up to the office was a recognition of his increased popularity in general, not just for Hot Tub Time Machine. He seems to have roles in all sorts of movies these days, they probably figure that if they want to keep him on the show then he deserves to get more screen time.

If you're right it would be pretty lame to see him move back down to the warehouse after Hot Tub Times Machine blows over.

Yeah, that was about the extent of the humour for this episode.

Agreed with those that thought the dump scene looked so fake. Plus, the majority of the 'dump' around them was cardboard. What, no recycling?

I thought this was a terrible episode, in fact the worst episode.

I liked that Michael, for once, caught on to Jim and called him on his crap with the whole Captain Jack Sparrow thing -- and then looked to fall for it again.

For the first time in a while, I can say I pretty much enjoyed last night's episode, though it further cemented my hatred of Jim and Phyllis.

Re: The Office -- "New Leads" -- 3/18/10

I like the cold open and the Andy/Erin moment... other than that it wasn't BAD but it just felt WEIRD. It was just odd seeing this feud between sales and everyone else. Then it was just odd seeing Dwight mouthing off to Michael. I liked that everything worked out in the end but I just felt the whole thing didn't need to happen.

Also I absolutely hate smart ass Phyllis. She was never a favorite character of mine but in the last few seasons she's had moments where she's just a complete bitch and I don't know why people take her shit.

Plus his cocaine and ecstasy arrest has kinda blown over at this point. Too bad Patrice O'neal the other warehouse guy from the earlier seasons didnt get more of a chance to shine. I love his stand up act.
