I felt that way about Michael's "Miss You." The original has such a bad ass groove to it - he nearly ruined it forever for me!

My U-verse DVR reset itself as I sat down to watch this and LOST last night,

Sounds like I didn't miss much here.

(Catching LOST on Hulu! )

Re: American Idol Top 12, March 16 & 17

The worst performance to me was Paige's, because her new version of the vocals made no damn sense, and I thought it was bland anyway.

During Sibodan's performance, I told my wife she was the female Adam Lambert, and lo and behold...

Anyway, I see Lacey going home tonight. I don't know what her fanbase is. She sucks anyway.

Re: American Idol Top 12, March 16 & 17

I'm going to predict the safe ones are:
Crystal Bowersox - An early favorite to make it far.
Siobhan Magnus - Another early favorite. She stands out in a good way.
Lee Dewyze - Capitalizing on the David Cook/Chris Daughtry crowd, even if many consider him a lesser version of those two.
Didi Benami - Made a big move upward at the perfect time. I think this performance bought her enough positive attention to boost her up a bit, at least this week.
Michael Lynche - Between being one of the 'Hollywood week' featured singers and his performance last week, I think he has enough goodwill to survive at least 2 or 3 iffy performances.
Casey James - Average, bar-band, etc. he may be, but I think the people who are into him *like* that. Enough to get him through the next few weeks at least.

Which leaves:
Aaron Kelly - His safety depends on the teen girl vote. And maybe the 'mom' vote as well.
Andrew Garcia - What a quick slide... He went into the top 24 as one of the favorites, but seems to be losing more of that early goodwill reserve each week. I wonder when it will finally run out?
Katie Stevens - Doesn't seem to be wowing anyone. She's not the worst vocalist in the top 12 but her performances just seem bland.
Lacey Brown - She's in a weird limbo... too safe to be unique (in the sense of Crystal or Siobhan), yet too quirky to be mainstream. Not sure how this translates to votes.
Paige Miles - See comments for Katie.
Tim Urban - See comments for Aaron.

Loved the show last night, thought the R.S. songs were great, did not know they did all those songs.

Fun to watch and for the most part the singers did a good to a very good job.

What do I know, did not see Lacey going. There are only 3 that could win the whole thing, so it really does not matter. But, I do guess that means she will not be going on tour - top ten only.

Re: American Idol Top 12, March 16 & 17

My wife and I watched both shows last night. We had to watch Siobhan's performance of "Paint it Black" three times. Absolutely loved it. Granted, it is my favorite Stones song, but in my opinion dog....for me......I would have to say this was one of the top 5 AI performances ever......it was HOT tonight.....yeeeah!

Lacey was the right choice to go.

6 million people bought that? Seriously, those people need to be rounded up and exterminated. If you bought it blind, you're an idiot. If you bought it after you heard it, you shouldn't procreate.

Add equal parts dirt, skank, stripper, sexually charged lyrics and generic pop beats. Bake for 18-24 months, then set aside never to be heard from again.

Tim Urban should have gone - I guess America has a fondness for a teenage boy imitating Frank Sinatra singing a reggae version of "Under My Thumb."

Who would have thought????

Yeah, even if you hate the style of music at least Tik-Tok was catchy. Blah Blah Blah is as generic as they come.

I stand corrected then. Where's my wallet. Oh, yeah, it's empty after buying the Beatles boxed sets. By that I mean empty for her, never empty for The Beatles.
