Who Wants to be a Millionaire? - 03/08/10

I still watch whenever I get the chance, but today I saw something I'd never seen before, two contestants in a row bombing out within the first two questions.

First guy's second question asked which song is usually finished with the phrase "and many more"?
Obviously, it's Happy Birthday. However, he answered For He's a Jolly Good Fellow. If he had taken a few seconds to think about it (15 second time limit!), he probably would've gotten it right.

Second guy's FIRST question was to pick a term that means the same as "slightly intoxicated".
The choices were
A. Milky
B. Watery
C. Beery
D. (joke answer)

I've never heard the term, but common sense would tell you it's Beery.
He picked Watery. He sat there for a few seconds, and looked like he'd been hit with a shovel.

That must totally suck, going through round after round of qualifiers, coming all the way to NYC, telling yourself that you'd be happy just to reach the 25K milestone, and then not only walking away with zilch, but probably being forever remembered on YouTube under the title of "Millionaire Player PWNED!"

Never heard beery before either and there are a hundred other terms they could have used for intoxicated.

Maybe I've drank too much while in college, but I too have never heard that term. I have to check wikipedia to see if that's really a word :)

That may be the lamest question/set of answers I've ever heard of in the history of this show.
