I'm really enjoying this show, and am looking forward to seeing where the writers are going with it. Gun-toting Tamara Adama is awesome.

So what was the point of the Vergicorps guy getting Caprican citizenship?

Re: Caprica -- "Know Thy Enemy" -- 03/05/10
Being able to get the defense contract?
This show is all over the place. This week had a different feel and focus then last week. Unfortunately this week they decided to focus on things that I just don't care about. I think watching this on DVD is going to feel awfully disjointed, although maybe it'll work since I won't have to wait 2 weeks for them to pick back up on a storyline. |

I thought it was to afford him more ways that he could screw with greystone. Perhaps certain rights are only given to citizens.

No action, but still a good episode. Vergis seems like a great character.
Clarice looks OK, but those extreme close-ups in the confessional are quite unflattering. I'm still wondering who the secret guy is, I think I've ruled out almost everybody. It'd be a surprise if it was Durham, but I still think it's someone we have not seen yet. The dating stuff was eh. |

Cool to see James Marsters playing a creepy religious fanatic.
Yeah, I'm also wondering who they mystery man is. At first, I though it was Barnabus (since I knew Marsters would be on the show at some point playing a monotheist), but I now doubt that's the case. I doubt it's either of the Adamas or Daniel Graystone. Could be Vergis, or maybe the talk show host Patton Oswalt plays. Xander is an outside possibility. |

Really dug this episode. I actually liked the V Match angle as I'm waiting for the other shoe to drop. I think Vergis seems like a great character and I hope he sticks.
As for citizenship, Daniel incorrectly guessed it was so the government would be more inclined to accept Vergis' bid for the defense contract. Although I'm sure he'll make a play for that as well, he's doing it to make himself a Caprican household name. I'm just surprised Sam was so reckless in the theft. I'd've thought he'd have been less conspicuous stealing from another Tauron. |

We still don't have the whole story. Maybe things didn't go as they were supposed to. Or there's something deeper at work here.

Know Thy Enemy? Shouldn't that title use a thine?
Anyway, their virtual reality is surprisingly tame. If avatars are malleable, a Graystone researcher should realize that the cute girl he just met could actually be some creepy guy. Also, if the virtual world's full of hacked code, where are all the spambots and LOLcats? |
