I do like that they split the season up, though, and spread it out. Any word on when the next season will start?

They haven't announced when season 4 premieres yet, but I would assume June or July.

I am thankful they split it and fill this gap otherwise devoid of good TV!

Good episode.

Too bad about

Spoiler:
Gilroy. I liked him. They were just starting to flesh out his character a bit more.

Re: Burn Notice -- "Good Intentions" -- 02/25/10

I always wondered about
Spoiler:
how bad guys feel when they try to "escape" by committing suicide, only to be foiled by the good guys and then spend a long time/the rest of their lives in prison. How pissed are they? Do they want to get out just to kill the good guy or do they just try to off themselves again?

Sets up a really interesting season finale next week. Interesting seeing
Spoiler:
John Mahoney again.
Should be a good set up for season 4.
Spoiler:
(Since Gilroy's story arc is over, will the deal with Simon finish up next season or end with this last season 3 ep and it'll be back to "the Leader" again for season 4?)

Intense episode. Plenty of Fi, which is always a good thing.

I also think they killed off Gilroy too soon. There was more to mine in that storyline.

I think this show errs on the side of killing them off too soon. It leaves us wanting more.

At some point, they do need to break with that tradition and really let us see somebody develop. I'd guess that if this Simon is such a badass he killed Gilroy as described, the finale will just leave us on a cliffhanger, with Simon the problem to be solved in at least the first half of season 4.

I just didn't like the way he was killed off, seemed kinda lame. The writers built him up as this spy/assassin genius who was always covering himself. I guess Simon has to be some uber-bad guy.

Carlos Bernard was damn good in this episode. They should've made him Simon.

I miss Gilroy already. And a far too lame way for a badass like him to go.

I don't think we have to worry about them killing off Simon anytime soon. As we all know, you can't kill Terminators.

Garret Dillahunt is gonna be Simon? Cool.

Spoiler:
But Charlie Crews did off him with one hit.
So it can be done.

He's making quite a career playing scumbags.

Re: Burn Notice -- "Good Intentions" -- 02/25/10

Here's the thing. I love Burn Notice. It's the most enjoyable tv I watch, along with Supernatural. That said, I really have no idea what Michael is working towards now. Is he still trying to get unburned? How did Gilroy factor into that? I thought this season was going to be about Micheal's past catching up to him, since he rejected Frasier's dad's offer to bring him in.

I get that Gilroy was a bad guy, and that Weston was working to try and see what his plan was to undue it, but I'm at a loss for how all of this connects into getting unburned, if at all.

Show is still awesome though.

Didn't Gilroy pretty much come into town, recruit him coercively, and set him on this path? Now Simon seems to be some ultra-dangerous guy from Michael's past like he was warned about.
