This show is so pathetically bad; it's a real shame to see where it's ended up compared to where it all started.

If the flash forward episode is any indication of what happens to everyone, Matt follows in his footsteps and becomes a surgeon, so it could be interesting if there is any minor hint to that in next weeks finale

Having watched all 7 seasons like an endless loop of a high speed train wreck I guess I became numb to how truly fucked up this series is. My son (17) walked in on this episode having never seen it before and asked who Matt was. I paused the show and replied:

"He's Sean's son but is really the biological son of Troy, he has a daughter name Jenna (named after the porn actress) from his porn star wife Kimber who left him and married his dad, making his ex-wife his step mom (who also has sex with his other dad) and his daughter his step-sister. He's been a transsexual loving, gay bashing, neo-Nazi, scientologist, meth head who robs doughnut shops dressed as a mime and was turned into a cell bitch while in prison."

The promo for next week either told us exactly how it's going to end (with a whimper) or they're holding back some surprise. My money is on the former. My money is also on there being a different theme in each segment of the last show: Sean will host the Emmys and feel the acting bug again, Christian will meet a woman as fucked up as he is and run away with her only to discover he doesn't like being with himself, a fire will destroy the business only to see the story jump ahead 6 months and it's perfectly fine again, and Liz will announce that she's a lesbian.
