How to Make It in America - "Crisp" - 2/21/10

"Crisp"
Spoiler:
Using $3G they got via yet another high-interest loan from Rene, Ben and Cam buy up a roll of hot premium-denim material, then hit a series of dead ends in their search to find a manufacturer to make samples of their Crisp brand of retro-Ď70s jeans. Along the way, they parlay a crashed late-night dinner with top fashion designer John Varvatos into a brainstorming meeting that may, or may not, hold the key to their entrepreneurial success. Meanwhile, both Ben and Rachel realize that they havenít totally moved on, and vow to try harder in the future.

Thought the episode was kind of 'meh', but I'm still looking forward to seeing how the rest of the season plays out.

Really enjoying the interplay between the two main characters, and I can relate to it a lot more than I could relate to Entourage, which adds to it, imho. Much nicer to see people rising from average to above-average, as opposed to super-star turned mega-super-star.

Love the music the show uses. It's a little jarring how they go to the music with every location change though.

Agreed.

I was really hoping Shannon Sossomyn would be on every episode.

I'm for sure enjoying this a lot. Some good fun stuff. Interesting to see Varvatos just holding court there. There's the obvious entourage vibe apart from not having one person being famous.

Love the music, there's a good mixtape you can d/l of the songs from the show.
