Synopsis:

Spoiler:
Sam and Dean go back in time to 1978 and are reunited with their parents. Their mission is to prevent their mom and dad from being murdered by Anna, who is ordered by the angels to stop Sam from being conceived so Lucifer won't be able to use him as a vessel in the future.

Nice to see young John and Mary Winchester back again. I remember the episode a few seasons ago when Dean met his Mom.

Anna. :(

So who removed the sygils (sp?) and holy oil? I doubt Anna or Uriel could that. I'm guessing it was Michael but that's rather risky if he didn't want Anna to succeed.

Pretty good episode. Sam's talk with John about his dad was well done and Dean's confession to his mom about who they really are and telling how she would die was great, even though I figured they'd hit the reset button.

Not really sure why Michael saved Sam.

To make sure his fight with Lucifer happens.

Michael obviously wants to throw down with Lucifer in the octagon.

I miss Anna already. Rather than going back to kill their parents, couldnt they just have gone back to kill the yellow eyed demon?

The idea that everything is predetermined would really piss me off. At least with free will you can look back and say you could have done something in life differently and maybe have made your life better.

I just didn't buy the whole story with Anna suddenly conforming with the rest of the angels.

This episode's title is "The Song Remains the Same", not "Back to the Future II"

I don't think she did. The angels always wanted Sam and Dean to say yes to Lucifer and Michael. So I doubt they'd send Anna to kill Sam or their parents. If she were working for the Angels, Michael would have had no reason to fry her.

Vampire Diaries and Supernatural will go on hiatus after the Febuary 11th episode and won't be back till March 25th. On the bright side as on March 25th they will have no breaks until the season finales on May 13th.

Fuck, that's a long break.

Yeah, that news really sucks.

Well, that's not surprising considering there is only 9 more episodes left with 13-14 weeks left in the season.

Is this going to be the last season like it was talked about?

Initially it was, but it's now looking like there will be a 6th season. Jared and Jensen are already contracted to do 6 seasons, so WB and CW just need to re-sign Eric Kripke and they are pretty much a lock. Worst case scenario if they can't re-sign Kripke, the CW could pull a Gilmore Girls and hire a new showrunner.

And if it sucks, we can pretend the show ended in this season.

Hiatus after Febuary 11th and not returning until March 25th!!!

Does the CW know that it's sweeps right now??? (Running from Feb 4th until Mar 3rd)

Re: Supernatural -- "Back to the Future II" -- 02/04/10

Perhaps they intend to use that time to test the waters with new shows? Anyone know what they plan to air while Supernatural is on hiatus?

Perhaps they're reluctant to burn programming against the Olympics?

Why the crap is every damn station afraid to air new stuff during the Olympics? Is it really that popular?

How come the OP has the wrong title for the episode? That should be fixed.

Back to the Future II was listed on the original press release for this episode, but I guess it was changed later to The Song Remains the Same.

I don't think it's a big deal.
