Also, last season when Sun asked Richard if he remembered seeing Jack, Jin and the rest in 1977 he said yes, because he saw them died. He didn't say disappear, like he said of Locke in the 50's, so I assume he actually saw them die.
Is that something that is going to be related to these two time lines?

Free will is the key here. You can express to someone what you think they should do but they ultimately have to make and follow through with that decision by themselves. That is the rule they're working with here. Neither of the participants can directly affect the existence of the other.

Regarding Jin, was I the only one who thought he was having a change of heart as he looked out the window while descending into LA? It seemed like he was contemplating disappearing with Sun in America and leaving Paik and his work behind.
Like fate wanted Sun and Jin to be happy together the way they found each other again on the island.

I think it was revealed that was Jin's plan after he delivered the watch. Remember the english speaking guy in the bathroom after Sun spilled something on Jin at the Sydney airport? He started speaking Korean and basically said he knew what Jin was going to do, but there was nowhere he could hide that Mr. Paik could find him.

When Kate was in the tree and the sound was 'off', it sounded like she was underwater...

That was true as well. Jin went to visit his father in the village and he told him that to save his marriage, they should get away from Sun's father (don't remember if he specifically said to go to America).

From another forum, some details about the NC timeline or whatever:
Very interesting no? Some other interesting notes that may or may not have been mentioned:
-Hurley considering himself lucky and being involved with the chicken business
-Sawyer not going for the easy con (As you stated)
-The stewardess handing Jack only 1 bottle of vodka instead of 2
-No Charlie walking briskly down the aisle pre-turbulence
-Rose\Jack dialogue reversal
-Kate's Marshall guy Edward getting the exact same cut on his head from Kate as he did when the plane crashed and his briefcase hit him
-Kate getting some sort of coy interactions with both Jack and Sawyer
-Kate ending up in an intense situation with Claire
-Sun not speaking English when prompted with perfect scenario to do so
-Jack\Locke meeting on good terms

Another thought about Esau playing Ben, it would have been Esau who Ben summoned when he put his hand in the drain and called for help with the boat crew.

Or a Time Flash like Miles (I think) commented on the symptoms being similar. As far as I know neither Kate, Jack, Hurley, or Sayid experienced those.

I cannot connect this but wasn't Jacks dad on the island.
Maybe jacob used his body for a while. Just a tidbit, but how is his body lost but the others make it to LAX....
damn show...

Interesting thought that the Hydrogen bomb may not have actually gone off, but they just traveled back to 2007 again. Very plausible theory.
Other than the obvious longer hair, it's interesting to see how Matthew Fox has aged since the Pilot. They did a really good job recreating that scene in the Plane.

I'd say there's also a good chance that Desmond was never on the race in this timeline.
The only reason that he did it was in order to impress Charles Widmore.
It would seem that Widmore was only being an asshole to Desmond in order to keep him away from Penny and get him on the island to push the button. Notice how his attitude toward Desmond changes after he makes it back from the island.
Without the button to press, Widmore wouldn't need to try to drive a wedge between Penny and Desmond. Desmond doesn't need a big stunt to impress Widmore.

An interesting thing I read was that Damon & Carlton consider us far too deep into the show for anything to be "throwaway". They don't refer to the timelines as "alternate" timelines because, they do not want to reach a point in the sixth season of the show where there's a "gotcha!" moment and one timeline is true, while the other is false. The audience is too invested for anything presented this season to be regarded as taking any time away from "the story", so: everything being presented on the show is essential to the storytelling of Season 6. With this in mind I'm really interested in seeing how these come together. I also remember reading vague interviews months ago where Matthew Fox mentions [semi-spoiler]

But if Esau was playing Locke , why did Jacob appear in the flashback where he's crippled? Or was that Esau pretending to be Jacob?

Maybe Jacob is playing Esau to play Ben to play Locke so that Esau will kill Jacob thereby lowering his guard so Jacob can deal with Esau once and for all?

So then poor Locke is just a pawn in a battle between two demi-gods who are both just a pair of dicks?

If Locke had went on the walkabout then he wouldn't be on the plane. He would be somewhere in the outback. The only reason he was on flight 815 was because he didn't go on the walkabout and flew home early.
