Thanks. I know it's a cover though Pearl Jam's version was the song bothering me the whole night. I had so much caffeine my was racing last night. Only slept around 5 in the morning and now I'm already up. Had nightmares too. Decaf next time.

Here's the closest I could find to the actual Lost Boys clip:

My favorite was the Hamm's Scott Brown bit. Arminsen as B. Frank is just too funny. And you know that that repressed sexual longing and yearning in definitely going on at some level in all of them.

I'm getting to be more and more of a fan of Hamm. This guy really has a great sense of humor - case in point his appearance on 30 Rock and his two SNLs.

He also did a few pretty funny bits on Late Night with Fallon a few months ago. Who know Don Draper was such a funny guy?

I actually liked most of the skits, especially the closet organizer one and how they came back for more. And it did seem like Wiig was in less skits (or maybe less skits prominently featured here) this time... the only one I can think of was that piano/singing one.

Even though I saw it coming a mile away, giving birth to Sergio was hilarious.

The music from Sergio sounds like it came from the Working Hour by Tears For Fears

Hamm is the new Baldwin, the guy is a natural. Would like to see him do another 10 Eps minimum.

The Sergio slime was pretty funny

Yeah I saw it coming too, especially since before Sergio there was "Ted Brogan"

6 of 11 skits with Wiig....including the DS and WU. The most enjoyable skit she was in was the Sergio one....she wasn't playing a variation of any character but rather just a normal person ala Knocked Up.

6 of 11 really helps when you want to watch the show in 30 minutes.

This.

But my fav of the night was Hamm & Bublé! The desperation in Bublé's face and voice was priceless!

I went to the Dress Rehearsal - she was in another sketch ("Who's the Host?") that got cut. She wasn't the focus of that one, which was a good thing. I could only take her in small dozes sometimes. I would have preferred that over the "Don't Make Me Sing" sketch.

Yeah, that was a sketch that went absolutely nowhere. I'm not bothered by Wiig as much as a lot of people here, but that particular sketch was truly awful.

I could see the Sergio birth coming too, but didn't expect the slime. I haven't laughed harder at anything on SNL in a long time.

It was also ironic, since that's exactly what I picture happening each week as they pitch sketches.

"Don't make me do Target cashier."
"Don't make me do Gilly."
"Don't make me do Penelope."
"Don't make me do Judith."
"Don't make me do Michelle Dison."
"Don't make me do Trina."
"Don't make me do Virgania Horsen."
"Don't make me do Aunt Sue."
"Don't make me do Aunt Linda."
"Don't make me do Kathie Lee Gifford."
"Don't make me do 'Don't make me sing.'"

it's too bad the original song (I Still Believe by The Call) is so good, because this version is so godawful and cheesy with the sax guy it's hard to look at the original song in the same way

Re: SNL 01/30/10 - H: Jon Hamm - MG: Michael Bublé

Rumor mill...

Zach Galifianakis is set to host SNL on March 6, according to the Twitter stream maintained on his behalf. NBC would neither confirm nor deny a hosting schedule this far in advance, they said, and a rep for Galifianakis claimed that the Twitter feed isn’t official, even though it’s linked from his website, and mentioned in his newsletter.

Anyway, all together now: “Hell, yes!” if it’s true. Indeed our own Annie Barrett wished for this exact host mere months ago. Galifianakis is hilarious, and anyone who’s seen him live knows he can play the piano and sing, too.

Re: SNL 01/30/10 - H: Jon Hamm - MG: Michael Bublé

Just watched this tonight. Highlights were the Ham and Bublly sketch as well as the Sergio digital short. Lowlight had to be the "Dont make me sing" bit. Wiig really is annoying as all hell. I also liked how they referenced the closet organizer sketch in the bar sketch.

Anyone else catch how in teh Barnes and Noble sketch, initially Hamm greets Heder as "Noble, my friend" then towards the end right before they shake hands, Heder says "Noble, this is a capitol idea"?
