Recommend me a new series to watch..
I just finished up watching all four seasons of Dexter (great show by the way) and need something else to watch.. I'd prefer something that has at least two complete seasons and a completed series is even better.. Nothing is better then getting to watch shows back to back with no wait..
Some of the series I've watched so far are:
The Wire
The Shield
Six Feet Under
Dexter
The Soprano's
Band of Brothers
Generation Kill
Son's of Anarchy
True Blood
Lost
Battlestar Galactica
Prison Break
Breaking Bad
Rome
The Pacific
Brotherhood
Big Love
Any ideas? Thanks!

Re: Recommend me a new series to watch..
I don't know how I forgot about LOST.. I'm caught up on it and looking forward to the final season..
Never heard of Firefly or Farscape.. I'll look into those.. 24.. First three seasons were awesome but have since gone down hill for me.
Thought about Oz before.. It good eh?
I've heard Alias was good as well.. Just hard to believe for some reason that show was actually good.. I've heard the same about Buffy but I just can't picture how a series would be that good with Garner and Sarah Michelle Gellar..

Re: Recommend me a new series to watch..
I should have clarified.. If it's an ongoing series I'd like it to be at least two seasons into it.. If it's just a mini series (ala Band of Brothers, Generation Kill, etc) I'm fine with that..
I've tried Dead Wood on two different occasions I just couldn't get into it.. Some parts were too hard for me to stomach.
Looks like there's a lot of shows I've missed! So far I've got:
Alias
Firefly
Farscape
Supernatural
Rescue Me
Nip/Tuck
Mad Men
How about Brotherhood? It any good?

Damages
Burn Notice
Psych
Those are about the only 3 hour long series I follow anymore, well, at least in terms of ones not called Lost. I never could get into Nip/Tuck despite trying on a few occasions, Alias was also hit and miss with me. I also really enjoyed Boston Legal when it was on, good mix of drama and comedy, but I know that show takes it on the chin in these forums (mostly due to the award nominations/wins it got from what I gathered.) Psych is super silly and isn't to everybody's taste, but it is enjoyable in spurts. Burn Notice is nicely done and both episodic and serialized. Damages is 1 season / 1 storyline, but some details tend leak into the following season.
Firefly is a short 1 season + 1 movie (Serenity) thing, you should be able to knock that out pretty quick. I've still never seen Firefly.

Chuck
Friday Night Lights
Personally I'd stay away from Alias since that took a nose dive in later seasons. Perhaps watch the first 2 seasons and then stop.

Not a completed series (only 1/3 of what the creator intended) and it ends on a bit of a cliffhanger, but Carnivale is a great show.
It was supposed to be 3 2-season "books" so we got all of book 1 before it was cancelled. There's some closure, but it'd be like only reading Fellowship of the Ring.

Re: Recommend me a new series to watch..
I was wondering if anyone was going to recommend Weeds and Californication.. I know nothing about either of those shows but have heard they were good..
