The episode started out great with Foreman introducing the case to House as the case of a hot patient with an ugly husband. I didn't really care for the side story of the guy that House felt sorry for.

The case they were working was probably my favorite that they've done in a while.
Didn't care for House and Little Carmine's story

So, I know everybody hates 13, but of all the doctors on House's team isn't she the best at actually coming up with the right diagnosis?

I thought 13 looked hotter in this episode, not sure if it's the longer, darker hair.
I was hoping Wilson was punking House by getting Little Carmine in on the joke (grocery clerk).

Pretty boring episode aside from the House/Wilson clinic chat in Spanish and House dealing with Leonard. Waaay too much whining from Thirteen and Foreman. Not enough Chase. Cuddy did have a right to be pissed at House though.

It's very character driven procedural. The show isn't serialized, but the show has evolved alot since it's 1st season. I think a show like this is hard to get into during episode 12 of season 6 when so much has happened in 5 1/2 years. They show re-runs on USA, so you can check out older episodes there. Some people in this forum get tired of the predictable medical mysteries of the week.

They did the opposite in one episode. In this one, something medical is the reason for Valerie being cold and remorseless, and in a 1st season episode there was a kindergarten teacher that was too nice and House thought something medical was the reason for that as well. I think she ended up being still nice at the end though.

Even though I don't care much for Thirteen as a character, I liked this episode for the interesting aspect of having a patient who is a clinical psychopath (although just a manipulative one and not a murderous one, as they are usually depicted in movies or on TV). And at least most of the Thirteen scenes were her dealing with the patient instead of droning on about her dull backstory. In a way, Thirteen was like a surrogate "Cameron" in this episode as the doctor with emotions trying to come to terms with a patient who completely and totally lacked emotions. And I thought the actress playing the psychopath (Beau Garrett) did a good performance in the role, especially in the scene where she dropped her "normal act" when the team let her know they knew what she really was; her on-screen transformation was a bit unsettling.

Very interesting case and I thought Beau Garrett gave a pretty damn good performance as the patient/psychopath.
I loved the scene when 13 lost it after being accused of sexual harrassment. It was probably one of Olivia Wilde's better episodes as 13. It's good that they finally gave some closure to the tension between her and Foreman.
The stuff with House having remorse about the Med School classmate was rather dull.
