I'm setting up a perimeter and opening a new socket in preparation for the premiere.

I think I'm just going to wait for this season's blu-ray - I mean, it'll be out a week or so after the season wraps up, so it's not like I'll finish it that much later than people watching it live.

Actually, a lot of TV shows (along with earlier seasons of 24) don't release their previous season until a week or two before the new season. If 24 did that, it would be 9 months between the end of the season and the dvd release.

I don't think that is going to happen again this year. Season 7 came out a week after the season finished because they finished shooting it in December 2008 because they had so much extra time because of the writer's strike.

When Season 7 premiered in January 2009, the entire season was in the can, so they had time to work on the DVD.

They are still filming season 8. The last I checked they were on episode 16 or 17. They will not be able to turn around the DVD or Blu Ray in time by May.

I wouldn't expect season 8 out until later in 2010.

Jack's kill count, based on the 24 wikia page, is now up to 229 after the axe/stairwell kills. It's the first axe kill.

This is only my second season of 24 (last) and I know I'm going to catch shit from some of those with it since the beginning, but Mary Lynn Rajskub is a horrible actress.

It doesn't help that her character is totally annoying, but she grows on you.

Chloe disagrees with you. Her character is strangely endearing, for some reason.

It's quite possible I mis-remembered which late night show Kiefer was on, sorry for the confusion.

Oh wait, I think I know why I thought he was on Conan, it was Mary Lynn Rajskub who was on Conan's show this past week.

Time has caught up with Elisha Cuthbert, she really does have a MILF-ish look nowadays.

Looks like the same old stuff, not necessarily a bad thing but I was hoping they would do without the drama at CTU.

It's nice to see Horace off the island

Re: Twenty Four (24) -- Season 8 Premiere -- "4:00pm-6:00pm" -- 01/17/10

So let's list the number of NYC errors!

The opening scene is on W. 42nd St. around Times Square yet a street sign in a later scene puts it on Avenue C in Alphabet City

The address that Jack gives for the building on W. 18th St. doesn't exist and would put the building in like Hoboken

CTU is across a river and appears to be in Queens

The terrorist leader or whatever apparently travels from Chelsea to Staten Island (?) in about 30 minutes

Oh, and Manhattan doesn't have alleys, but a lot of things get that wrong, so I'm not really counting that
