'Dexter's' Michael C. Hall treated for cancer, on road to recovery By Andrea Reiher | January 13, 2010 1:52 PM Michael C. Hall, Golden Globe- and Emmy-nominated actor from Showtime's "Dexter," is being treated for Hodgkin's Lymphoma. Hall said in a statement Wednesday that he was fortunate enough to be disagnosed with the treatable and curable Hodgkin's Lymphoma. Hall's rep Craig Bankey told the Associated Press that "the disease is in complete remission and Hall's treatment will continue as planned." Hall still plans to attend this Sunday's GOlden Globes ceremony with hsi wife and co-star Jennifer Carpenter. Hall is nominated for Outstanding Lead Actor, Drama. He will also return to production for the fifth season of "Dexter" later this year. We wish Hall the best on his road to recovery. |

That sucks. Hopefully it was discovered early enough where he won't have any complications down the road.

Now I feel bad for making fun of him. :(

Re: Dexter's Michael C. Hall treated for cancer
I have a friend going through treatment for the same thing, it's a long process but he'll hopefully be okay in a few months.

Re: Dexter's Michael C. Hall treated for cancer
My sister had Hodgkins'. It's largely curable, but yeah, treatment is a grind. Can't imagine he'd be up for shooting a new season right away. I hope he has a quick and complete recovery.

Re: Dexter's Michael C. Hall treated for cancer
The article I read this morning off the AP Wire which said:
In a statement Wednesday, Hall said he was fortunate to be diagnosed with a "treatable and curable condition," Hodgkin's lymphoma, and thanks his doctors and nurses for their expertise. A spokesman said the disease is in complete remission. |

Sad to hear -- hopeful for a speedy recovery.

I guess that explains his appearance on that interview after the season ended?

This was the best I could find, but at the time I didn't think anything was wrong, just that he had gotten a hair cut in the off-season. |
Re: Dexter's Michael C. Hall treated for cancer
Thanks.
I did notice in the Year End EW where the cast was named one of the Entertainers of the year that it seemed like he was missing a lot of hair, but the way the picture was cropped was odd so I thought it might have been due to that. |
Re: Dexter's Michael C. Hall treated for cancer
So his wife plays his sister. That must be odd. I wonder what it is like seeing your wife or husband make out with another actor.

Re: Dexter's Michael C. Hall treated for cancer
Better than his sister playing his wife... or his sister playing a hooker thats trying to "get with him" to appease her puppet pimp.

Re: Dexter's Michael C. Hall treated for cancer

Michael C. Hall 'Fully Recovered' From Cancer
Michael C. Hall's wife and "Dexter" co-star, Jennifer Carpenter, shared great news about Hall's health on Friday. Hall, who announced in January that he was battling Hodgkin's lymphoma, is "fully recovered" from the disease and has returned to work, Carpenter tells the Associated Press. She called her husband "incredibly brave." Hall received ongoing treatment for his cancer after it went into remission. Earlier this year, he captured a Golden Globe for playing the likeable-yet-murderous title character on Showtime's "Dexter." |
Re: Dexter's Michael C. Hall treated for cancer
Good news! Now we can enjoy at least one more season of Dexter and hope that Michael goes on to live a long life.
