I think after this we have like 6-7 more episodes of the Season (Series?).

I <strike>know</strike> <strike>think</strike> hope that NBC will give it one more shot. This season has been mostly good. I hope this carnival storyline plays out as well as its going now.

-pray-

Unless NBC has some awesome pilots, they will have no choice but to pick up Heroes. It still brings in decent ratings like Office, 30 Rock, Biggest Loser, SVU. Chuck will likely as well. Everything else...yikes.

I read a story they have 18 Pilots in development for Fall 2010..10 drama and 8 sitcoms. I can't see them picking this up unless all 18 of them suck...Realistically though, I can see they adding maybe 2 dramas and maybe 2 sitcoms tops because of Leno.

I hope NBC drops the "Prime-Time Leno" thing and brings good dramas and comedies for the 10/9c hour.

But I doubt it.

Isn't Heroes massively popular internationally?

Seems like it might be a good reason for NBC-Universal to take a bath on it domestically and then make money off of it in foreign markets. They'd only replace it with something that pulled in the same or worse ratings, and that people in Asia wouldn't give a rat's ass about.

Re: Heroes -- "Upon This Rock" & "Let It Bleed" -- 01/04/10

International money only benefits the studio, NBC Universal, not the NBC TV Network. And even though they are technically part of the same company, they are still separate entities as NBC TV still has to pay NBC Universal to produce the show.

Did anyone watch this last night?

I did.

It was pretty good... but I'm still sick of Claire's brooding.

Should be interesting to see what happens with Sylar this season (as per the tattoo).

Very good episode I think. *Kinda spoiler*

Still not really understanding what the tattoo girl meant when she said that Sylar was impotent. Meaning he just can't kill anyone or something else? And just why can't he kill anyone?

*Spoiler*
And what does he want with Claire?

I assume Sylar was stuck with Nathan's conscience, so he's probably not a murdering psychopath anymore.

The shot of Nathan stuffed in the trunk was strange given the (overly) dramatic send off he was given last ep.

And as if child-Hiro wasn't bad enough, now we get crazy fanboy-Hiro. Ugh.

Won't matter. NBC needs at least one 'rock' show each night to get viewers to tune-in (unless the new shows are just fan-fucking-tastic).
Tuesday would be Biggest Loser
Wednesday SVU
Assume Office/30 Rock stay on Thursday.

That leave's two nights...I'd gamble on Chuck starting off Monday and Heroes on Friday. If Heroes comes back, it would be for it's last season. No doubt about that. But, it could become a Summer show as well...the show goes off in February and I don't think if Heroes gets renewed they would want to put fans through a 7-8 month wait (unless it goes to the Friday deathslot).

I know NBC still has Mercy, but that is likely a goner unless ratings pick up. Community and P&K are probably a lock for a return, while Parenthood is a huge fucking mess. Looking forward to seeing it, but too much drama on set.

They won't. It's not going to happen. Maybe in the next Fall (2011), but it's not happening next season. NBC does not have enough anchor shows and they won't launch 8-13 new shows.

Sylar can't use his powers? That's what I thought until he was flying outside Claire's window. But maybe he just can't kill anymore?

And Peter....WTF? He flew at the end after taking Claire's healing. I (we) can only assume he met up with flying boyfriend from Season 2 somewhere in between those scenes? Really odd transition.

Yup. When Peter asked if Claire could call West, that's where things were leading. I guess they don't have the budget to actually bring in the kid.

Or, they know how many viewers hate the kid. Mentioning him is better than actually showing him.

I'll be glad when NBC finally finished burning off the 19 episodes for this season, and sticks a fork in this show. While watching last night, I was wish I had laundry to fold because I was pretty bored through most of the 2 episodes, though tattoo girl has gotten sort of hotter as the season rolls along.

Yeah. At least when Heroes is aggressively awful, there's something kind of fascinating about just how steeply it'd been continuing to plummet, but this is really just boring.

He has a bloody chip in his head! Wait, wrong show... :)

I was hoping they would do something to tamp down Sylar. He has become too powerful. If they are going to keep him around, it is not fun just to see him murdering people and being essentially omnipotent.

With these kind of ratings, it will not be back.

8 pm NBC: "Heroes" (5.3 million, 3.4/5)

9 pm NBC: "Heroes" (4.6 million, 2.9/4)

Chris

Exactly what I assumed, but it happened to soon (Peter/Claire story, Sylar, back to Peter.)

In Adults 18-49 it got
8PM - 2.3
9PM - 2.1

Even though they are bad, I still see it coming back for a Final, 13 episode Season. Wrap the shit up and give it a few more eps for Syndication. Plus, NBC may need it until their new shows take off.

I thought it was an incredibly boring 2 hours. Hiro and deaf lady in the first hour and the overly heavy funeral for Nathan.

Darth Maul now wants to go back to the carnavel? Wasn't he the one that ran out of there?

Why show Nathan int he trunk to start the second episode after showing the funeral? Did they really need to tie up the loose end of the plane crash?

Yeah, this was absolutely terrible. It may have been the worst Heroes episodes I've seen to date. Hiro acting like a child... move on it's been done. Sylar and Samuel... *sigh. Claire and the Puppet Guy.... *sigh. It was all just terrible.
