Natalie is the greatest winner to barely play the game.

Russell's wife was there. Jeff went out in audience for a fast interview.
No one else was identified as family, and none were allowed on stage (apparently).

Since the object of the game is to win jury votes Russell isn't even one of the 20 best players in the shows history.

It don't matter if you can drive the ball down field with the most flair if you can't get one in the end zone.

Howie missed my sarcasm. I'm in the glad russell lost crew. a minority I know.

I'd have prefered Coach to win over Russell

Coach wasn't nice. He shouldn't win. Only nice people should win. I hate it when people lie to me in poker games. They always tell me they have different cards than what they truly have. I'm nice and tell the truth, so I should win. If I won a million dollars I would give it to my neighbor, because she is nice.

And for that commenter on the Probst Blog

Boston Rob lost to Amber not because he dominated and Manipulated, but because at the final tribal he swallowed his balls and tried to come off apologetic. I thought Russell was TOO EASY at the final tribal...He should have more forcefully made the point that he blew them all out of the water.

I think Fandango is referring to episodes where family members are brought out at challenges and the winner gets to spend the night at camp. Stuff like that... not the reunion show.

are you serious? jaison was such a little bitch at the reunion show. he was so bitter.

If anyone cares to know the cast of Heroes vs. Villains...

Spoiler:
Heroes: Colby (Australia, All-Stars) Rupert (Pearl Islands, All-Stars) Tom (Palau) Stephenie (Palau, Guatemala) Cirie (Exile Island, Fans vs Favorites) Candice (Cook Islands) James (China, Fans vs Favorites) Amanda (China, Fans vs Favorites) Sugar (Gabon) JT (Tocantins)

Villains: Jerri (Australia, All-Stars) Rob (Marquesas, All-Stars) Sandra (Pearl Islands) Danielle (Exile Island) Parvati (Cook Islands, Fans vs Favorites) Courtney (China) Randy (Gabon) Coach (Tocantins) Tyson (Tocantins) Russell (Samoa)
If this list is true, its very disappointing, why would they bring back some of these people for a third time playing the game?

I assume one tribe is going to be entirely made up of "hereos" and the other "villains." I'm not sure it wouldn't be better to intermingle them from the beginning.

Spoiler:
Yeah, almost half of them are 3rd-timers, and I'm not really thrilled about that.

There's no doubt playing Survivor is hard, I'm sure there were some people the producers might have wanted for season 20 that turned them down. Especially some of the older ones: Bob from Gabon and Yau-Man from Fiji.

Out of the cast list for next season.
Spoiler:
I guess Colby hasn't been getting much acting roles, I think everyone has seen enough of Rupert and Boston Rob, and Jerri is probably aged some now.

(Is Russell the greatest player ever even though he didn't win)
I canít think of anybody who has ever played a game like Russell played. It was so dominating that I am still shaking my head that he didnít win. The only guy I could even see having the talent and guts to do something equally dominating would be Boston Rob. So I am on the fence on this one. But this much I am certain of Ė Russell is without any question ONE of the greats. No doubt about it.
I'd be willing to bet Jeff Probst saw immensely more than the highly edited show that you saw before you formed your conclusions. Oh, and he's seen 19 other seasons to compare with as well.

But Natalie won, so I'm sure later in his comments Jeff Probst has an even more powerful testimonial to the brilliant gameplay of Natalie, and that when he calls Russell ONE of the greats, he surely means only behind Natalie. I'll post that quote as soon as I find it.

I'm more happy to be seeing Amanda again than I am Steph.

The thing I remember about her is she's definitely very athletic, but didn't do well in the social game. Also, she looks way better without makeup. I think I saw on her official web site that she is engaged to or married to a Phillies minor league player.

Jeff never ever has praise for female players though and of course he is gonna praise the player who got the biggest edit in the shows history. What is he gonna do say complain it was unwarranted to ignore the rest of the cast and turn the season into the Russell and Shambo show.

Completely untrue statement.

You do realize that Probst (and the production staff) saw the season play out, firsthand, in its entirety before they edited the episodes, don't you? And that they then edited to showcase more Russell because of his performance, not the other way around? They saw a guy master the game like possibly no other before him, and they would be morons not to play him up. Natalie won the game, but they still couldn't do squat with her, because quite simply she didn't do squat.

But at least she got paid a million bucks to be known as the most undeserving Survivor winner ever, and somewhere out there Vecepia Towery is smiling.

I think Vecepia still holds that honor. But add Natalie to the list of Tina, Vecepia, Jenna M., et al.
