Nope.

There is an ep on next Thursday, 12/17, then the 2-hour finalé and 1-hour reunion show on Sunday, 12/20.

Me thinks they're shooting for a Final 2.

Final 3. They'll be starting the finale with 5 players remaining after 2 go tonight and 1 goes next Thursday.

Dave and Monica go tonight.

As Lunatikk said, it has to be a final 3. A final 2 would make the jury an even number.

My picks for tonight are Dave and that kid without a tongue.

Thanks for starting the thread Goldberg74.

We seem to be sharing lots of spoilers before the show starts. What the hell?

I'm pretty sure Russell is safe next week, since I think that will be the last time he'll have to use the hidden immunity idol. So, Russell will definitely make it to the final 5 and I don't see Natalie or Shambo writing his name down. Looks like Russell may actually make it to the final 3. God, I hope so. And if he does, he'll definitely get the votes to win it all (no matter who he's up against), no question.

Re: Survivor: Samoa - 12/10/09

I think Brett is the only threat to Russell. I could see all of his former tribe giving him their votes even if he isn't as deserving as Russell. But Russell against any of his former tribe or Shambo should definitely win.

Huge mistake not voting Russell. As soon as he pulled it out early, you knew he wasn't going to play it.

As for Brett...I think he had more words in the first five minutes than he's had all season. I believe this is also the first time I've heard another person say his name in a strategy conversation and the first time he's been asked a question in tribal.

Re: Survivor: Samoa - 12/10/09

^Well, they have to give Brett some air time before he's voted off next week. His jury vote should only count for 1/2 a point.

Strange episode with the two tribal councils. Usually they plan them, but this seemed like two episodes combined into one like they mis-scheduled and didn't have enough weeks left.

It is even weirder to have a double elimination because they already had a double elimination with one of the illnesses.

I believe there was a spoiler post this week. Not just a good guess, but someone who knew the outcome before the show aired. Won't be checking this thread out for pre-show predictions now. Bummer.

I also think tonight would have been a very good time to have made a bold move and take out Russell. I got the feeling he felt safe, which is the best time to have a secret plan to send him home. While it's difficult to win no matter how well you play the game, Russell now seems to be in a very good position.

I still don't like people who get mad and then decide someone who dared say something they didn't like MUST go, whether it's the best choice in the game or not. Really makes you look like a jerk. It also hits a nerve that I went to college for 6 years and earned two degrees and a man like Russ is the one making millions of dollars a year. :(

He was guessing. :hscratch:

So, you don't like people that work their asses off and build their fortune? Only people that pay for an education deserve $$$?

Re: Survivor: Samoa - 12/10/09

I still think Russell's about the only person truly playing this game. His own teammates should have voted him out tonight, but they didn't have the guts. He's safe next vote because he'll play the idol for sure. After that, I do think he'll need some luck and immunity to make it farther, but you never know. The guy's good...

First off, I don't know that he did or didn't work his ass off. You can be a great con man and make a fortune. Working the drive-thru at McDonald's is more difficult work than that.

Not to mention, taking that it hit a nerve and extrapolating that I don't like certain people from that is nonsensical.

I even put in the silly sad face emoticon to make sure that no one would take my comment too seriously.

Next time I make a comment about what hits a nerve with me on a reality show, I'll put two sad faces and 3 wink faces just to be safe.

The same can be said for earning a degree. Just saying.

Yeah I hope that didn't come out right and you didn't mean to imply somebody with a lot of college deserves to make more than others...just because they tell us that growing up doesn't mean it's always true. ;)

Just because Russell is playing the con-man in this game (which is a great strategy) doesn't mean he makes his living by being one.

Re: Survivor: Samoa - 12/10/09

There are six kids in my family, and five of us graduated from college (two of us with graduate degrees), and my brother that didn't go to college is the one with the highest paying job.

Is something wrong with that?

That's the American Dream!
