Re: Scrubs [Med School] - "Our Role Models" - 12/8/09

I liked this ep a bit more than last week's.

Lucy is growing on me, Cole is still grating my nerves, but Dude-chick and Drew more than make up for it.

I'm guessing that the security guards are the new "Janitors"... but they seem like rejects from "Reno 911."

This makes me appreciate season 8 and the terrible "NBC finale" episode.

Drew is the best thing that could have happened to this show.

Liked it better than the two last week as well...

JD was great in the episode... I'm really going to miss him if Braff is only on board for the first couple as I'm still iffy on the Lucy character. Drew and Denise are fantastic though.

...and hey, Turk finally mentioned Carla.

Was the Video quality off for anyone last night? It almost looked like it was a zoomed in letterbox shot.

I liked the episode, though it seems like Denise got pushed into the amazing doctor roll a little too fast.

I didn't like this one as much as last week's episodes. The new main girl is forgettable. It's gonna suck when JD is gonna as she has no business being the lead an carrying the show. The 2 security guards are not funny.

She got a little better this week, but anyone can spot the "J.D. is leaving" hints being dropped like bombs all over the place. Still I laughed out loud in several places.

Re: Scrubs [Med School] - "Our Role Models" - 12/8/09

I meant to mention it last week, but I'm glad Snoop Dogg Attending a.k.a. Ronald is back. I think I saw a glimpse of him in this week's episode too. Has anyone else noticed more minor characters that have stuck around?

EDIT: Those security guards suck. Every time they're on screen I miss The Janitor...and then I think back to The Janitor's exit and laugh. I can't ever recall a main character being written out in a better way.

The Todd is still around.

I read that Sunny Day (the intern from last season) is going to pop up in the "Our Mysteries" episode.

Also, Scrubs got a 2.3 (5.4 million viewers) this week, which is up 15% from last week.

Yeah I saw him. I meant more of the low-key background characters like Dr. Beardface, Snoop Dogg Intern, Dr. Mickhead, the Security Guard with the Hook, Old Lady Intern, etc.

Drew is awesome. I am so glad they kept Denise around as well. They are the two strongest characters aside from the original cast. Lucy is going to take a bit more time to grow on me. She's getting there.

And yes, the rent-a-cops suck. The idea works, the actors they chose are terrible and the writing for them just isn't there.

I was wondering what was up all night. Wouldn't surprise me if they are trying to save money on the production of the show.

This episode was a train wreck. The first two epiosodes were OK, but man this one sucked.

The first few episodes of this season have been decent. Like a few others have said, the security guards are really the only thing I'm not caring for very much.

I am definitely liking the new cast except for the girl that is in the JD role... especially when she went off about horses.

This new version of the show seems like it has the potential, but for supposedly keeping all the same crew, it's like they've gone backwards and this has the feel of a Season 1 (Even though the actual season 1 of Scrubs was far superior than a lot of season 1's).

Lucy and Cole have got to go. They are just flat out BAD.

Also, I'd love to see more of the dramatic elements that made season 1-5 so good. I know JD is leaving, but he's gone back to being a caricature of himself. Time to grow up, at least as a doctor.

I'll continue to watch though.
