Synopsis:

Spoiler:

Corporate bigwig David Wallace (Andy Buckley) summons a jubilant Michael to attend a shareholders meeting in New York City. Michael invites Andy, Dwight and Oscar to tag along. Meanwhile, Jim clashes with a lazy Ryan back at the office.

I always enjoy it when Michael goes apeshit crazy about being invited to New York. They can be cringe-worthy painful to watch alot of times.

Reminds me of one of my favorite Office moments of all time:

Michael: Ah, there's my favorite NY pizza place.
*camera pans to a Sbarro's*

I love how Michael always sticks it to the higher-ups at the right moment.

Pretty funny episode. Jim putting Ryan in the closet was hilarious, and it was good to see Michael actually stand up for himself. I really wanted Oscar to go off on a rant though and actually list some great things they could do to save the company. Dammit, Oscar.

Really enjoying this season so far but this ep not so much.

I guess Idris Elba wasn't available. It didn't make sense for Charles not to be there.

Oh, and it was GREAT to see the Chuck preview!

I hope Charles comes back eventually, just because I want Jim to somehow get sweet sweet revenge for him being a complete asshole to him.

who stole the Office I knew and loved
this season is so incredibly unfunny/uninteresting ... it will win no Dundie awards

I enjoyed it, only I wish Oscar had spoken up and been a part of saving the day. Looks like D-M is in more trouble than we thought. I still think Jim's supermarket client idea might help save them--it was too random to throw in there last episode if not.

Although, the name 'Recyclops' was amusing, the rest of that opening was pretty bad.

Not much funny in this episode, other than Ryan getting put in the closet.

I guess Michael's expression when they entered the hall to a chorus of boos was kind of funny, too.

I disagree. I like it just fine.

Yeah, I was disappointed, too.

I chuckled at how as Jim narrated the flashbacks showing the brief year-by-year history of Recyclops the receptionist was different in each and every one.

I gotta say, I don't care about seeing DMI survive, since we've seen just how mis-managed this company has been since Season 1. However, I regret the fact that the writers did not take the opportunity to call out mis-managed corporate America on the clusterfuck they've created. I would have liked to see Michael at least regurgitate Oscar's talking points.

Anyway, I'll step down from my political soapbox now and just say that this was a pretty decent episode in the middle of a season that's been far improved from the last few.

I don't get why the company just did not implement a 45 point plan.

First time I've ever said this about an Office episode, but this one was just plain stupid and downright boring. One, maybe two laughs tops.

To anyone who found this episode disappointing, it's my fault. Typically, I work until 9pm on Thursdays so I usually have to watch down the road. Not last night. It seems like every time I get to watch an episode "live", it winds up being a disappointment. There were a few chuckles here and there but aside from those, this ep really didn't have much going for it.

Nice touch with the suite guards having handheld metal detectors.

DMI: down 6 7/8, trading at 1 1/8 (or whatever)

That last part with the stock price was a nice touch. I had to explain it to my friends though ;p.

This was an okay episode. I feel like the series is starting to be less "zany", which is a good thing. The first season was almost unwatchable.

Likewise. I've been enjoying this season more than most, apparently, but this was the worst episode of The Office since Phyllis' soulcrushingly unfunny wedding.
