Synopsis:

Spoiler:

Anna receives the first of 100 diplomatic visas issued to the American Visitors; Erica is paired with an alien officer to track down the source of a death threat; Ryan recruits allies to oppose the Visitors.

1 more episode left. I like the show so far, but I have to agree with a few comments from the last thread that the show is squeezing alot in for the short time it's been on. But hey, at least the plot is moving forward.

Elizabeth Mitchell doesn't need to wear all that extra makeup.

Scott Wolf can't even walk in proper V formation for the promo shot -ohbfrank-

Amnesia -ohbfrank-

Thankfully, they didn't drag that out too long.

I hope Lisa is really her mother's daughter and is actually evil (maybe "whiny douchebag" is a delicacy on Visitor World and her interest in Tyler is strictly culinary) and they don't pull a Romeo and Juliet storyline with her and Tyler.

I love this show, good episode. I also appreciated the Supergirl panty shot.

Agree with those who say too much is happening too quickly, kind of a rushed feeling. Disagree with any of the criticisms of Elizabeth Mitchell. Wanted to wait a while on this one, but I now totally agree that Wolf is miscast.

I did enjoy the episode and overall I still like the show.

Enjoyed this ep, too. Didn't see the twist with the 5th columnist/amnesia story coming. Agree that Wolf is miscast out of everyone.

The only thing that made me roll my eyes was having Lisa being Anna's daughter. That just seems a bit trite and coincidental given that Mitchell will essentially head the resistance. I'd rather Lisa was just another operative reporting for duty.

But I'll go with it. Rest of the episode was good TV.

I am really enjoying this series. I hope next week leave a nice cliffhanger.

Yeah, I've said before that when the credits roll I'm always wanting more of this show. It's a blast.

The best thing about this show is that the plot is full of twists that aren't so obvious. The doctor who killed the V agent saying "The Fifth Column says hello" or the guy who was supposedly a human terrorist was yelling, "Do you know what they'll do to me" and yet he was a V. I also thought the "John Mays Lives!" spray paint was a cool touch.

Sucks that there's only one more episode left before the break; they better not kill this thing because it's great.

I actually saw the twist that the doctor who was treating Wash would be a member of the resistance. Still a good pay off though. They're doing a good job throwing out bits and pieces of information that I'm sure will come together nicely during future episodes (John May, The Fifth Column, The Bliss, etc.)

This show is very entertaining and I'm enjoying all of the performances, with the exception of Wolf and the Mitchell's stupid kid. The leads are great and I love the pairings they've established: Mitchell (Erica) / Gretsch (Father Landry) and Chestnut (Nichols) / Richmond-Peck (Georgie).

I really like how fast they are moving things ahead. It's refreshing that they are getting to the point rather than taking their sweet time; for whatever reason, it's working for me and I don't think they're losing anything in the way of character development as a result. Disappointed that next week is the last episode for a while, as I am left wanting more at the end of each episode. Still, will definitely tune in next week and eagerly await the return in 2010.

Any word on when it starts again in 2010?

I'm quite happy with the show so far, I was afraid the remake would be a complete farce, but so far I'm very satisfied with the product. I like the modifications from the initial story, while keeping the core elements, like the 5th column, the human-V relationship, etc.

I really don't mind Wolf at all, the only character that bothers me due to poor acting is Tyler (the kid)

His smile is more crooked than that guy on Heroes.

Loved the twist with the doctor, it was handled well.

From Wikipedia:

In September 2009 it was announced that four episodes of V would air in November 2009, and that the series would resume in March 2010 after the 2010 Winter Olympics to complete its 13-episode season. ABC entertainment president Steve McPherson said, "We always intended to break the show up into 'pods' to make it more of an event." As production of the fourth episode of V wrapped, it was announced on November 3, 2009 that Scott Rosenbaum had been named executive producer and showrunner of the series, with Peters and Hall remaining as executive producers. Production on the remaining nine episodes will resume in January 2010.

The twist with the doctor was done well, and I'm glad we don't have to endure that "I'm going to go kill her!" nonsense.

Ratings will plunge another 25% after this long break.

Solid episode this week. Dumb move by ABC to shelve it after only 4 episodes.

I'm really digging this show. It's not perfect, but moves so fast I can overlook the flaws. I just hope they can keep it up. I also appreciate that the show isn't trying to be another BSG ripoff even though there is plenty of BSG-like plot material (5th columnists, imposter humans, terrorism).

I really liked the twist with the doctor, totally didn't see it coming. Unlike the diner guy's "Let me just go get that list of names from the back" double cross. As for the blond being Anna's daughter, maybe they have a queen/hive system or spawn like frogs with hundreds of offspring.

The 3rd episode actually flew by, so that's a good sign. So I guess we've seen the last of Erica's partner? The Vesistance is coming together rather well.

I am liking this series.

However I fear that if the show does come back the long hiatus will spell certain death for the show.

I don't know how many people will be interested in this when it comes back, or who will remember what is going on, or will we even remember to tune in when it comes back?

Re: "V" -- "A Bright New Day" -- 11/17/09

Didn't ABC learn from the last Writer's strike, you can't shelve TV shows for months on end and expect the audience to keep tuning in when the show returns. It contributed to the loss of momentum to shows like "Pushing Daisies", "Dirty Sexy Money".

Will try to watch this tonight but I was really put off by the second episode - just blah. Wasn't planning to watch anymore but if it's better than the 2nd one I'll try it out.

Kill the fucking kids now. Ok, maybe not the cute blonde chick, but the fat kid and the whiny douchebag.
