Melrose Place -- "Cahuenga" -- 11/17/09

Heather and Katie

Synopsis:

Spoiler:

Heather Locklear returns as Amanda Woodward, owner of the WPK agency. She promptly fires half the staff, including Caleb, and warns Ella that her future with the company depends on the success of the Anton V launch party. Elsewhere, David asks Lauren out on a date; and Auggie finally succumbs to Violet's flirtatious ways.

Well, it's here if you have been living under a rock and haven't been paying attention to all the CW promos and bugs on the screen.

Regarding where we last left off with Amanda in the original series:

Spoiler:

Where is Peter? (Jack Wagner, Locklear's real-life boyfriend). When viewers last saw the couple, they had faked their deaths and run away to an island.

"They do address it, but you can't blink," Locklear said. "You'd think Amanda would be a little more content on that island and change, but she really couldn't stand it. She is who she is and she had to get off that island. She's a girl who needs to be in the middle of the action. A woman, actually. Amanda is a woman now."

A good read about the show and it's new direction. Some interesting info from Locklear and Producers of the show.

Yeah, I'm tired of those promos showing Locklear's ugly shoes.

Found first half boring and second half was decent. But I don't understand why Amanda wanted Riley to get in trouble.

and last week, I think this got 1.3 million which is pretty bad and even 90210 got about 2.2 million on the same night. I'm very curious how it did tonight.

Pretty good episode but I will miss Egglesfield. I like the character and he looks great shirtless.
So did they ever bury Sydney?

A teacher getting fired for using a few sick days when she isn't sick. That's a laugh. She should be reinstated faster than you can say 'teachers union.'

Has Heather had plastic surgery or something? There was something freaky about her cheeks, lips and teeth. Her eyes are still as amazing as ever. And the clothes they are dressing Ella in are horrendous.

Meh. Heather had, what, three scenes in the whole episode? Nice lesbo action, though.

HD doesn't agree with Locklear.

The storyline with Riley being fired was weak but the episode had Ella making out with another chick, so in my book it was a success.

Re: Melrose Place -- "Cahuenga" -- 11/17/09

It was a pretty good episode despite the ridiculous storyline about Riley getting canned for the sick days.

I'm not a fan of the dresses that Ella has been wearing, but she still looks damn good every week.

Thought it was a decent re-introduction to Amanda. However, there are some plot holes from the original series that were not explained.

1. What happened with her marriage with Peter Burns?
2. She had Michael fake her death to avoid going to Prison in the series finale. Since she is seeing Michael again in the next episode, I hope they will somehow explain these.

I remembered that Ella was introduction as a bi-sexual, but they totally of leveled off on it. Thought the lesbian kiss with the agent was pretty hot.

Looks like this show is doomed. Locklear's appearance barely did anything. It got 1.54 million viewers. It was almost equal to an episode that aired a few weeks ago.

I always find it funny that all the Men love the Lesbo action. Would they feel the same way if it were too Men?

Heather has stated in an interview that they will touch on Amandas past and what happened to her character after the finale.
As her real life boyfriend is Jack Wagner, he could always make an appearance. Who knows.

So is Caleb gone for good?

Of course not.

I want to see Lauren and Ella make out.
