Castle -- "Kill the Messenger" -- 11/09/09

Castle

Synopsis:

Spoiler:

A bike messenger is murdered en route to delivering evidence that could free a man from prison. The case is linked to a murder Capt. Montgomery probed 10 years ago, and a prominent New York family's secrets figure into the investigation.

I agree with most of the sentiments that last week was pretty ho-hum.

It appears there will be 3 more new episodes before the show takes a few weeks off for the Holidays.

No one watched this?

I thought it was pretty good with the usual twists and turns.

I liked it.

"I have two words for you: hairline and receding."

I was also very amused to see Castle reading on a Kindle 2 in the last scene.

I liked when the guy asked if Becket and Castle were involved and he said "Not yet" while she said "No".

It was nice to see the Captain get some screentime.

I enjoyed this episode a lot. It was funny seeing Susan Sullivan's headshots from around the time she was on Falcon Crest. It prompted me to go youtube and watch the scene where her ring got caught in the pool drain and she drowned. I was only about ten years old when that happened and it devastated me.

This is the kind of build up I think has been missing from the last few episodes. It wasn't a wild goose chase. It was established that the murderer was in the family, the question was 'which family member did it?' The mystery was intriguing and the banter is always great. I was happy to see Mark Moses again.
