Synopsis:

Spoiler:

The team takes on the case of a reckless police detective who has a family history of sudden heart failure that killed his father, grandfather and great-grandfather all at age 40. Though House is not keen on diagnosing the patient without any detectable symptoms, the team, urged by Cameron, attempts to identify his condition so the detective can live without fear of dying young. Meanwhile, Chase is haunted by his actions in the Dibala case, and House confronts some ghosts of his own.

Another new episode with "The Team"

After tonight, no new episode until November 9th. FOX is pre-empting House next week to add a 3rd hour of So You Think You Can Dance and the following week is a repeat.

Just as long as it airs. (The whole episode that is, with no "already in progress" crap.)

Started at 8:42 EST and it will be the full episode. Had to do some fancy, on the fly DVR programming for this one.

Same here and luckily it worked. Wasn't as lucky with Lie to Me. I may have missed a minute.

I waited for the baseball game to end so that I could make sure I recorded House, cause I never watch TV shows live.

Game ends, House is about to start, I press REC then hit the Guide button to record the following show so that I make sure I get the whole episode of House. I see the guide accept the recording, so I turn off the TV.

A few minutes ago I go to watch House and all I have recorded is the first 16 minutes, the follow-up show is nowhere to be found.

I hope Fox re-airs it this week cause I really hate watching TV on my computer.

I had to leave the tv on Fox and pause it when House started - so I could buffer 2 commercials worth of time.

Good episode... I forgot that there was supposed to be a "surprise" this episode - so I was taken back a bit when the guy popped up from the table :O

House does look like he is changing a bit.. slowly, but I like the road they are going down.

So are 13 and Taub gone for good? I thought I read Cameron was the one leaving the show.

It's re-airing Sunday November 1st on USA at 11pm.

If you don't have cable then your going to have to wait until later in the season when FOX starts airing repeats.

I can't believe that we've seen the last of Taub just because I can't believe that the show's producers would give a character that has been around for two years such a shitty send-off.

I can't believe that we've seen the last of 13 just because the show's producers have demonstrated that they are just so completely in love with the character and her (supposed) importance to House.

I cracked up during rounds when he was holding the test button on the machine:lol:

It was an average episode overall.

The intro appeared to be ripped off of this:

Anyone else know Banlieu 13 and noticed the similarities?

Parkour and freerunning have been around a lot longer than B13.

I would like to see Fox start a new series based on the Mental Institution that House was at. It could be a good new show.

I meant the actual sequence not just the style. When I was watching House, I thought it was almost shot-for-shot of the scene I referenced. That's what I meant.

Agree. When the time is pushed that much Fox needs to make an effort to get it up on their site faster than the normal EIGHT DAYS LATER. Eight days is just stupid. Why wait until the next episode has aired?

If Taub is gone for good (he hasn't been seen since Episode 2), then good. I disliked him probably most out of of everyone on the new team. 13 can go too, but you know they're going to find a way to get her back in the story since Jennifer Morrison is leaving.

I dunno if we can spoil in here, so:
Spoiler:
So with Chase confessing in this episode to the priest, it seems as he's about to break. My guess is he fesses up to the cops, something happens, Cameron finds out, leaves him and moves away or something. That will bring Olivia Wilde back. I think it'll be interesting to see what happens but I like this season a lot so far since it's so reminiscent of the old days.

They really should suspend the 8-day wait before it appears on Hulu for at least this episode due to the baseball-caused time-shift. But no such luck for people who couldn't watch it live.

(At least you'll be able to watch the rest of it on Hulu on Tuesday.)

The odd thing is some other Fox shows appear on Hulu the day after broadcast (ex. Family Guy). So why is this show treated differently?

Regarding Taub and 13:

Spoiler:
From E! online:

Taub (Peter Jacobsen) will be back on House's team before you know it. Episode eight features a medically interesting porn-star case that House uses to seduce Taub and Thirteen (Olivia Wilde) back to the team. Taub plays hard to get for a while, but the whole team (sans poor Jennifer Morrison's Cameron) should be back together full-time come November sweeps.

Decent episode. I'm starting to like the new direction with House.

I don't care about Taub either so i wouldn't care if he came back or not. I actually have enjoyed where they're going with Chase, and the actor has done a pretty good job portraying his emotions.

House is produced by NBC Universal, not Fox. Hence, they have more say as to when they want to put the show on Hulu. I imagine the wait of a week is so that the current episode can be rerun during the week on a NBC Universal channel, increasing ad revenue. Regardless of Hulu's presence, traditional TV advertising still brings in more money than Hulu does.

Well, I didn't know we could mention Jennifer was leaving, but since we can, I'll make my weekly comment (until now it had been cryptic so as not to spoil anything) about how unhappy I am about it. House is one of my all-time favorite shows and other than House, himself, Cameron was always my favorite and I was so hoping (because I thought I'd read something about it) that she'd be back this season in more than just a supporting role.

I enjoyed the episode a lot, but I almost always do.

Autopsy scene was great. Foreman's reaction was laugh out loud funny.

For a guy who hasn't had much dialogue let alone scenes in the past 2 seasons, Jesse Spencer has been money this season. I think his performances the past few weeks has been pretty solid.
