I started the thread on October 5, since that was the premiere date.

Buffy did peak early (season 3), but so did Angel (season 2). To say that Buffy dropped off a cliff while saying that Angel simply gets better and better is completely unfair. Buffy did have a serious drop-off after season 3, but steadily improved as it went along. It seems to me that those who don't appreciate what seasons 6 and 7 had to offer the series are simply bitter that the series didn't end with "The Gift." If there's any 'drop off a cliff' moment of buffyverse (there isn't), it happened in season 4 of Angel with Skip/Jasmine. That being said, both series are incredible and both deserve to be watched in their entirety.

What kind of black magic are these people using? They don't age.

I need to go back and watch this show, it was just so good.

Awesome photo shoot. Need to watch the video later. All the shows that keep coming back, and not this one

I loves me some Buffy and Angel. Wesley's character arc from how he started out on Buffy to where he ended up at the end of Angel is one of my favorites in television and film.

It's called Photoshop and using filters. I don't think "honest" pictures exist today for recent Hollywood shoots.

Charisma Carpenter looks really good in that photo shoot.

It's too bad she didn't become a bigger star post-Angel other than Lifetime TV movies of the week and occasional guest spots.

Look into all the issues she had on Angel with producers - that made her persona non grata in Hollywood.

IIRC, she was a bit of a diva on set. Not surprised Fred essentially replaced her as the female lead.

Re: ANGEL: 10 years ago tonight...

I heard Charisma has serious problems remember lines which is why SMG had big problems with her. I also heard that when she got pregnant, Joss and Co were PISSED because they had to rewrite their entire planned arc for season 4. That along with her lack of professionalism regarding lines and some reported diva behavior led to her getting written off. When she came back, she only agreed to do so if they didn't kill off Cordelia. It was only after the committed to it and she got the script that she found out they killed her off in Season 5. Apparently she felt betrayed and I think still harbors resentment to this day.

Mark Altman has written a combined oral history of both "Buffy" and "Angel" and based on his "Trek" and "Galactica" histories, I'd recommend it to fans. He usually talks to just about everybody from the shows. I've just started reading my copy from the library, so I'm at the point where "Buffy" the movie is being transitioned into a TV series...

The full 44 minute special from People TV from that photo shoot

<iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/JXxcOfUk2fc" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe>

They interview everyone from the shoot. Yeah I know most of you are probably unlikely to watch this special due to it's length. But, I'm just putting this out there.

I watched about 15 minutes of it and heard Charisma talk. She seems to have good reflections of her time on the show. And she looked really hot in that red trench coat. It looked like she only had lingerie underneath.

Re: ANGEL: 10 years ago tonight...

We came very, very close to a Spike+Faith series after Buffy ended. That could have been epic.
