This looks pretty promising and getting some pretty good reviews. I've liked Margulies since ER.
I've kept this as a series thread as I don't think it'll be that popular reply wise.

Really good pilot. Basically put you into the thick of things with little to no setup. Was I absolutely enthralled? No. But Pilots can be awkward and jarring. So I will stick with it.
I'm interested to see the ratings. Seeing as how this is CBS - it may have a fighting chance because of the older folk never changing off of their CBS affiliate. It would die a quick death on ABC, though.

Thanks for starting this. I was out of town and haven't had a chance to check this out yet. Isn't Chris Noth (Mr. Big) on this also?

Noth is there. Based on the pilot he should have more to do on the show, but what is his commitment to L&O: CI? Is it still half of the episodes or what? I haven't been up on the show in a while.

I thought this episode was ok. It was good enough to get me to watch next week but not good enough to get me excited about it.

Not too bad. I'm doubtful that this will be the best new show of the season, but I can see myself continuing to watch it.

It was decent -- but not necessarily a show that I'd plan my life around to watch. I'll keep tuning in for a couple weeks to see where it goes.

By the looks of things TGW is filming out of sequence because of Chris being in Sex In the City movie.

Wow, could Alicia be the most sympathetic leading protagonist to head a lawyer show in quite some time? But, it wasn't bad, still not sure if I can make the time to see it before the weekend, though (unless some other shows get canned and open up time during the week for me).

Re: The Good Wife - New series starring Julianna Margulies
I like it. I had been looking forward to the show for some time now (always been a Margulies fan since ER). Like others are saying I liked how they just jumped into the thick of things instead of going to easy way out of spending the first couple episodes about her getting back on her feet and slowly making her way up the ladder.
I really enjoyed the family dynamics (especially Mary Beth Peil - an actress I've been enedeared too since "Dawson's Creek") and liked that there will be serialized character drama as well as the courtroom drama. Chris Noth did a good job, but I'm still trying to figure out how integral his character will be.
Plus with 13.5 million viewers and #1 for the time-slot I have a feeling we will be spending some time with this show.

Not too many procedurals on my viewing list, and this looks to be another one.
But this was a great premiere. Enjoyed the scenes between Margulies and the in-house investigator.

Caught this tonight.
I really liked this alot. The Law Procedural drama has been done to death the last several years. But I really like the angle the show is taking with the Sex/Corruption scandal surrounding Chris Noth's character and Alicia going back to work to overcome the humiliation of it. Margulies was very good as Alicia....much better and more sympathetic than the Canterbury character she played on that FOX show from 2 yrs ago.
I was quite surprised to see Ridley and Tony Scott as Executive Producers of the show.
Yeah I agree the Twilight Zone ringtone was great.

Pretty good pilot. I like Margulies, and just saw Peil in the first season of Fringe (watching on BD). Plus I dig courtroom dramas.

Anybody still going to watch? Thinking the pilot over, the show will have to get a little more dramatic for me to continue watching. There have been far too many dramedy type shows on network television for my taste over the past few years. I want more grit like NYPD Blue or The Practice early years.
