In the spirit maintaining true geekiness, I propose the following showdown. Like many other speculative feuds that could never happen, I cannot think of a scenario that would produce it, so let's just say it's their shared ground of a corporate environment.

I would go with Gold, he seems more ruthless and aggressive.

much more cutthroat and would get much more dirty then Don. though Don is very savvy, Ari would dine on his children's cats to get something his way. Don wouldn't.

Don hands down. He has the charm, and the "luck factor" where things fall into his lap due to circumstance, and doesn't lose his cool. In the end of the day Ari will be yelling at the top of his lungs alone in his office, while Don is off with Mrs. Ari.

I have seen little of either show, but it seems to me the only way Don has a chance is if he can get Ari on his side early on. It seems to me like Don does have the luck factor on his side and might be able to make that happen.

Ari doesn't hold a candle to DD... Ari is always slipping, and DD is like Dumbledore, (how's that for a geek reference?) always knows what's going on.

This is like an Anton Chirgurh vs. Joker showdown... grr... I'm gonna go with Ari, only because DD has shown he CAN be broken and potentially run away (as he almost did at the end of Season 1).

I agree, but I think Roger Sterling would serve Ari's head on a plate far more easier than Don would, he says the most off the cusp forward remarks and being so suave at the same time.

I've only seen the first season and a half of Mad Men, so unless something changes dramatically, I'd go with Ari. He's been succeeding in a much more cutthroat environment where back-stabbing and playing dirty occurs frequently and is basically required.
