"Beyond Here Lies Nothin;"

Meanwhile, Sophie-Anne warns Eric to keep the lid on Bill's inquisitiveness; Jason leads Andy into the heroic abyss; and Hoyt struggles with Maxine's endless stream of insults. Deliberating on what may be his final move to save Sookie and the town, Sam places his trust, and his life, in a most unlikely ally.

I don't think stores are going to carry it, only HBO.com

Good season finale. Enjoyed it quite a bit.

Maybe Eric will be Season 3's villain?

Good finale. I notice that season finales on HBO tend to resolve the major conflict about half-way through and spend the second half setting up the next season. So...any bets on who it was that tagged Bill?

count me in the "meh" camp. This big setup with Mary-Anne didn't pay off for all the lead up they gave it and the rest of it was just padding IMO. I'm sure i'll be in the minority but I think I may drop this show for next season, season 1 was ok but this season didn't really grab me except for a few moments.

Yeah, it wasn't really that great, compared to the last finale. I'm not really sure there was much to keep people intrigued/informed about what's coming down the pike.

LOVED Everything about the finale, except for final moments...flat cliffhanger.

"Andy we all wanna have what your drinking."
"It's Diet Coke with Lime!"

"If a tree falls in the woods it's still a tree ain't it." Love ya Jason!!!

Season 2: A-

I'm betting Pam's got Bill making her a new pair of pumps!

Flat for me. Maryanne dragged for way to long. Eric had nothing to do for the vast majority of the season and was just tacked on after they got back for Dallas. What was the point of the queen, comic relief? Not nearly enough Jessica.

I want a Fangtasia spin off with Eric, Pam and Jessica.

Yawn.

If I understand correctly Maryann was not a big part of the books. It should have stayed that way for the show.

Everything connected with the Fellowship of the Sun storyline was gold. If they had made the entire season about that I think it could have been as good as season 1.

I'm right there with you. I didn't like either season and only watched it because of how great Six Feet Under was. I kept hoping that True Blood would step up and become a better show, but it never did. So, I won't be watching next season either.

And I have to agree with everyone who felt the whole Maryann arc was a waste of time. They would have been smarter to stay with the church army as the big bad.

While I think some things should have been elaborated a little further, I enjoyed the finale. I like the way Mary-Anne was finished off - but like some it felt a little lackluster.

I don't know how I feel about everything going on with Eggs at the end tho...

The Maryann story wasn't that interesting and ended with a dud.

"Worship him, Bitches!"

I'm more interested about Sam going looking for his real parents then I am who took Bill.

Eggs sure got the shit-end of the stick, didn't he? Sookie really should have known better...

Maryann... yeah, it dragged on a bit too much. She felt kind of like a "Buffy" "big bad."

Don't know whether the "True Blood" soda will be in stores or not. I could see it showing up in places like Hot Topic, video stores, or head shops. Don't know about places like Wal-Mart or Target.

Re: True Blood *Season 2 Finale* -- "Beyond Here Lies Nothin;" -- 09/13/09

I really enjoyed the finale. I was surprised they ended the maryann angle that early in the episode. But they set up season 3 perfectly. And if they follow the books, then you should know who took Bill

That sux about Eggs, I was hoping for him to become a bigger character next season. Atleast, it looks like Jessica could be a bigger focus point for next season too.

Bring on season 3! Cant wait!

That was beautiful, such a stupid line delivered with all that hatred.

MaryAnn's death looked a little low budget. Whe she was at an angle on the bull's horns, it looked like a bad photoshop job. It didn't last long, but it was distracting.

Well, to those who won't tune in next season, that's too bad. I thought that this season was great, loved everything with Maryann, and I feel that they really set up season 3 well. I'll be back. I love this show!

I'll be back for Season 3, but that finale was boring. Sorry. I was disappointed when it went off. I wasn't surprised when Bill got tagged.

I forgot to bring this up in my first post to this thread, but do the events of last night mean that Sam is going to have naked sex dreams about Bill now?

Re: True Blood *Season 2 Finale* -- "Beyond Here Lies Nothin;" -- 09/13/09

Thought it was OK... the Mary-Anne stuff was grating all season and the payoff wasn't big enough to justify dragging it out so long (My sister read the books and said the Maenad stuff wasn't nearly as long in them) The season started out strong but as it went, I just got kind of bored. Not as good as the first year. Hopefully season 3 will be a good rebound year. Although I did laugh my ass off last night when Jason was saying famous movie quotes:

"I love the smell of nail polish in the morning"

They should have resolved the Mary-Anne storyline mid-season, and the Fellowship stuff + Godric should have been the finale.

Decent finale. Season 2 was pretty good overall -- obviously room for improvement, but better than season 1.

Has HBO confirmed when season 3 will air?
