Amazing that the Middle and Modern Family consistently beat Cougar Town, but it would seem that Cougar Town gets most of the press and has a bigger TV star in Cox.

I don't regularly check viewing figure sites beyond some of the daily figures, so I found this post on online viewing figures very interesting!

The "unique" figures seem low, but by contrast I feel that the per show numbers are high. Not that I'm complaining, but Chuck is ~ at 90% of it's TV figure. I wonder if those are "new" viewers, or repeat viewers that already saw the episodes.

The premiere of "Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains" drew some solid ratings for CBS Thursday -- it was up substantially from the "Samoa" debut in September -- and led the network to a pretty easy ratings win for the night.
CBS scored 14.7 million viewers and an 8.6 rating/14 share in households in primetime to finish well ahead of No. 2 ABC (9.1 million, 6.1/10). FOX (6.7 million, 4.0/6) came in third. NBC could muster only 5 million viewers and a 3.1/5. The CW (3 million, 1.9/3) trailed.
CBS also led among adults 18-49 with a 4.2 rating. ABC took second with a 3.0, beating out NBC's 2.4. FOX, 1.8, was fourth, followed by The CW at 1.3.

the undercover boss did pretty damn well against the competition. putting it behind the superbowl was a good move by CBS.

The audience for the Winter Olympics fell off a little on Monday night, but even so, no one else came close to threatening NBC's dominance.
NBC averaged 25.5 million viewers and a 14.4 rating/22 share in households for the night, down a touch from Sunday's 26.3 million viewers. ABC was the best of the rest, drawing 9.6 million viewers and a 6.1/9. CBS (8.1 million, 5.2/8) came in third, followed by FOX (7.7 million, 4.6/7). The CW (1.8 million, 1.2/2) trailed.
In the adults 18-49 demo, NBC was actually up a bit on Monday, scoring a 7.2 rating compared to Sunday's 7.0. ABC, 3.2, finished a distant second. CBS, 2.6, edged FOX, 2.5, for third, while The CW came in at 0.9.

The opening ceremony of the 2010 Winter Olympics, which aired live in much of the country, was a huge draw for NBC Friday night and set a hopeful tone for the network's coverage.
NBC averaged 34.45 million viewers and an 18.1 rating/30 share in households for the night, significantly better than the network's average for the last Winter Olympics in 2006. Everyone else was left to fight for scraps, with CBS (3.8 million, 2.5/4) coming in second, followed by FOX (3.6 million, 2.3/4). ABC (3.15 million, 2.0/3) took fourth ahead of The CW (2 million, 1.3/2).
The Olympics scored a 9.4 rating among adults 18-49, also better than '06. FOX was the best of the rest in the demo at 1.5. ABC and CBS tied for third at 1.0, while The CW pulled down a 0.8.

For the night, FOX averaged just under 24 million viewers and a 13.3 rating/20 share in households, beating out NBC's 21.2 million and 12.6/19. CBS (9.1 million, 5.9/9) was a distant third. ABC (6.45 million, 4.0/6) finished fourth, and The CW (626,000, 0.5/1) barely even registered with another night of repeats.
In the 18-49 demo, FOX's 8.9 rating beat NBC's 5.4 by a pretty wide margin. ABC, 2.6, came in third, followed by CBS, 1.9, and The CW with a scant 0.2.

Wednesday's ratings played out pretty much the same way that Tuesday's did, with the top 12 men on "American Idol" beating the Winter Olympics by a decent margin in viewers and a larger spread in the demo.
For the night, "Idol" and FOX drew 22.8 million viewers and a 12.7 rating/20 share in households. NBC (19.5 million, 11.7/19) took second. The other three networks ran wall-to-wall reruns, with CBS (6.3 million, 4.2/7) ahead of ABC (3.7 million, 2.4/4) and The CW (819,000, 0.6/1).
FOX led the adults 18-49 demographic too, scoring an 8.6 rating. NBC's 5.2 took second. CBS took third with a 1.5, followed by ABC, 1.4, and The CW, 0.3.

Wednesday's ratings played out pretty much the same way that Tuesday's did, with the top 12 men on "American Idol" beating the Winter Olympics by a decent margin in viewers and a larger spread in the demo.
For the night, "Idol" and FOX drew 22.8 million viewers and a 12.7 rating/20 share in households. NBC (19.5 million, 11.7/19) took second. The other three networks ran wall-to-wall reruns, with CBS (6.3 million, 4.2/7) ahead of ABC (3.7 million, 2.4/4) and The CW (819,000, 0.6/1).
FOX led the adults 18-49 demographic too, scoring an 8.6 rating. NBC's 5.2 took second. CBS took third with a 1.5, followed by ABC, 1.4, and The CW, 0.3.

The crowning of a new women's figure skating champion at the Winter Olympics carried NBC to a ratings victory Thursday night, although the first cuts on "American Idol" outperformed the games in adults 18-49.
NBC brought in an average of 22.5 million viewers and a 13.3 rating/21 share for the night, way ahead of FOX's 12.75 million and 7.4/11. CBS (9.6 million, 6.0/9) came in third. ABC (4 million, 2.8/4) was fourth, and The CW (1.6 million, 1.1/2) brought up the rear.
In the adults 18-49 demo, NBC's 5.8 beat out FOX's 4.9 for the top spot. CBS finished third with a 2.5. ABC averaged 1.2 and The CW 0.7.

The close of the Winter Olympics gave NBC another ratings win, as well as a good platform to launch its new show "The Marriage Ref."
The Peacock scored 19.8 million viewers and an 11.3 rating/18 share in households in primetime Sunday, easily beating the 11.45 million viewers and 6.8/11 for second-place CBS. ABC (8.35 million, 5.1/8) came in third, and FOX (4.4 million, 2.6/4) trailed.
NBC's 5.3 rating in the adults 18-49 demographic also led the night by a sizable margin. CBS, 3.1, took second, followed by ABC, 2.6, and FOX, 2.0.
