Re: Star Trek Sheep: The Next Generation

Here's a question. Are "engage" and "warp speed" the same command?

Discuss that while I go get a sandwich.

Do you buy milk? Do you buy nails? Do you buy string? Do you buy mulch? Are you a "fan" of any of this?

Re: Star Trek Sheep: The Next Generation

Since I answered one of those two I don't know why I'm arguing this, but those are different commands. Engage could refer to engaging impulse engines as well.

Those are all practical items. DVDs are leisure items. I don't buy DVDs of shows or movies that I'm not a fan of.

Re: Star Trek Sheep: The Next Generation

I actually put a slash in my answer, so while I can agree you can engage impulse engines, you do engage warp speed. If I have to be stuck with one, the main thing I was aiming for was warp speed (even though if they are separate, I'm sure "engage" will win out).

I say no, because "engage" might not be "warp speed"

Re: Star Trek Sheep: The Next Generation

Engage and warp speed are the same command, unless I didn't answer either. Then they are not.

Re: Star Trek Sheep: The Next Generation

I buy DVDs of shows I'm not a fan of. I don't have cable, so if a show seems interesting I'll buy it. I may become a fan, but I don't buy it because I am one. (BTW, I'm not a fan of Family Guy and wouldn't buy it )

I originally put "Engage" then changed my mind and put "Warp speed."

But if you don't like it, do you continue to watch it?

Re: Star Trek Sheep: The Next Generation

You morons! How am I the only person that knows that Quantum Leap was the 2nd biggest fan saved show ever? The network did commercials apologizing for cancelling it.

AARGH! I must be too old.

And 2 dunce deals.

No.. well, I did finish the set a friend lent me just to say I gave it a shot. But that wasn't the questions I was answering (buying DVDs vs. being a fan).

Re: Star Trek Sheep: The Next Generation

And I can't believe anyone puts First contact as a great movie. They went to warp speed instantly and yet inertial dampeners had not yet been invented. What The Fuck? Would Raiders of the Lost Ark be a great film if all the Nazis were black?

You people make me sick.

Re: Star Trek Sheep: The Next Generation

Ahead one quarter impulse. Engage.
Ahead warp six. Engage.

"Warp speed" is setting the speed. Bearing xx-xx-xx or "ahead" is setting direction. "Engage" is "let's go".

I say they're not the same, specifically.
