I think I caught a glimpse of Evan Rachel Wood in the promo for next week. Been wondering when she would show up.

Well god damn that was a good hour of TV. I even liked the Maryanne/Tara/Eggs stuff this week.

GREAT ending. The editing and song were perfect.

And Jason's kiss-off line to the Reverend was classic. "I reckon I've already been to heaven...it was inside your wife."

Only half way through but just saw the part with Jason telling off the reverend. Excellent TV. lol

Edit:
Spoke too soon. I love everything about the way this season is going except Maryann. I liked it at first but it has worn so thin.

Re: True Blood -- "Timebomb" -- 08/09/09

Now that was an episode ! a hell of a lot happened in that hour with no fluff!

I can't see the bomb of silver chains doing too much damage giving the chains didn't do too much with Eric

I really wanted the vampires to start killing those fellowship creeps.

Jason Stackhouse was awesome this episode.

Can't stand Bill's make, glad she got her come upperance from Godric

I like Godric, you can see how he survived so long

Yeah, but the chains were just laid on Eric. My guess is these chains were forcefully blown through vamps.

Vampires can apparently cover about 100 yards in a second. So...

I love Godric.

Yeah, I feel like Godric is a vampire the show has been lacking.

One thing I didn't get was right before Eric snapped the Fellowship thug's neck when rescuing Sookie, the guy pleaded with him saying "Eric, it's me!". What was that about? Is there some history between these two that I missed or was this a hint of something we don't know yet?

Was it Eric or Godric that snapped his neck? Either way I was confused about that as well.

I assume him and Godric talked while down there. Remember, Godric was saying the Fellowship treated him nice and I assume that guy that double-crossed the vamps may have been one of them.

Nope, there was a "on the next True Blood" after it. There are still four more left.

But it did kind of feel like a season finale.

That was a great episode. I liked seeing Jesus Vampire Godric. Should take the show in a new direction hopefully.

Jason was awesome too.

Re: True Blood -- "Timebomb" -- 08/09/09

Agree with everyone that Godric is a great character. It was odd when Godric snapped his neck. Perhaps he felt it was OK to kill him since he was trying to rape Sookie.

Very cool episode, but I hate when the episode ends, and I have to wait a week for the next one. However as much fun as it is to blow through a show like this on DVD, there is something to be said to have to wait a week for a new episode, and months for a new season. You really do get a greater attachment to a series that way.

So how did Godric "escape"? They didn't really talk about that. He just kind of showed up. Outside of that, I'm absolutely loving how each week ends with a cliffhanger. This week's was a freaking doozy. Jason going all commando was pretty funny.

To much stuff doesn't add up about Godric seems like he maybe a double agent.

That's kind of what I was sort of thinking. I mean he didn't seem to be held there as a captive, at least from what we know. Sort of shady.

Re: True Blood -- "Timebomb" -- 08/09/09

Godric allowed himself to be captured and held by the church. He will eventually sacrifice himself for the good of the vampires. He is teaching them about compassion, coexistence, and love. Look for more new testament allegory as his story progresses.

Godric is a vampire Jesus. He will save them from themselves.

(I have not read the books so I have no idea if this is accurate.)

Awesome episode. Lots of story advancement.

Jessica will be a reborn virgin everytime after sex.

Again, Bill's maker is fugly. Isn't Eric trying too hard to impress Godric?

"They say I sodomized a pine tree"

"What'd you do that for?"

Great episode
