Lost at Comic-Con 2009

Here is the final Lost Comic Con presentation. Between the panel and the teasers I think we have an idea of what they may do with the final season.

Is there a place, maybe on some official site, where we can see the videos that were edited out? Do things like this appear on the DVD sets?

That "In Memorial" was great.

Pretty obvious where the season is starting now, but not sure where they will take it. I suspect they all retain their memories after the reset.

Thanks for all the videos. This panel was great.

Did anyone notice how Locke and Juliet were missing from the Memorial video? Is that an interesting clue or was the omission meant simply to keep us guessing?

I think the video's showing things being different for Hurley and Kate are definite clues for how next season starts. The end of the panel, with Dominic showing up - wow, that was awesome. I hope that's a guarantee that he'll be back next season.

If everything did reset, I am glad they didn't go in the direction where that was how the entire show ended. It should be interesting to see how this plays out in season 6.

I have a feeling that many of those additional characters are going to be from S1.

I found the following omissions from the "In Memorial" video very interesting:

Spoiler:

Juliet
Locke
Jacob
Anthony Cooper

Granted there were a lot more than that (and the first two were probably left off purposefully), but those four were very vital characters.

Re: Lost at Comic-Con 2009

26 characters on the poster....

Let's count the regulars:

1. Jack
2. Kate
3. Locke
4. Sawyer
5. Sayid
6. Charlie
7. Shannon
8. Boone
9. Walt
10. Michael
11. Sun
12. Jin
13. Hurley
14. Claire
15. Ana Lucia
16. Libby
17. Eko
18. Desmond
19. Ben
20. Juliet
21. Daniel
22. Miles
23. Charlotte
24. Richard Alpert (rumored regular for season six)
25. Charles Widmore (rumored regular for season six)
26. ???

Could #26 be another season six regular cast member -- Frank Lapidus? Jacob? Christian?

There might also be a twenty-seventh person on the poster. I count 26 heads, but there could possibly be a child (Walt?) just to the right of the center of the group.

Here's a different view of the poster. You can make out some of the characters.

It might just be the angle and the lighting but it looks like some of the characters are blacked out.

Re: Lost at Comic-Con 2009

The Oceanic airlines commercial was the biggest clue.

"30 years with a perfect safety record"

Guess the timeline is changed and the plane doesn't crash.

Re: Lost at Comic-Con 2009

Hrm. If they reset the timeline so that the plane doesn't crash, does that mean that Jack and co. are going to have to go back to the island again?

I'm assuming that some of the characters are going to retain their memories... will that be everyone, only the ones who lived, or only the ones who were touched by Jacob?

Definitely. Keeping a few casting secrets up their sleeves.

I don't know how the writers are going to play the whole plane never crashing angle but Lindelolf said to "trust us" in response to the last 5 years being erased and cheating the audience and I do trust the writers.

They emphasized how they're going to do something different than flash-backs or flash-forwards. Here's my guess of something that might happen....

There may be the creation of two concurrent timelines that needs to be resolved by the end of the season.... during which we see flash-overs where we see the characters as they would be if none of this ever happened. Perhaps the characters are actually experiencing these flash-overs similar to the time jumps during last season. So, they need to resolve everything back to one timeline and have to make a choice on which is the better. For some the non-crash timeline may be better, but for others worse. So, by experiencing these flash-overs they need to decide their ultimate fate and perhaps the fate of everyone and reality itself.... otherwise they're all LOST.......

I like how fake Locke, the character in the very middle of the poster, is the only one standing backwards.
